General Discussions - Non 300ZX

Looking to get rid of my desktop and screen and go to a laptop in the next week or 2 so would appreciate any feedback or ideas Will need to be a decent spec, mainly use for surfing the web but also for some online gaming and some work as well. Been looking at a few of the Sony ones as i do like them but TBH not too concerned what make, read a few results and the Acers although being a budget brand seem to get pretty good results? Looking to spend around the £700 mark poss more if its worth it. Also will be looking to sell my PC on so hey if anyone has a top spec laptop and wants to do a deal let me know ;) Many thanks Mike

I have been driving around in the TT for a while now and the only thing that bugs me about it is the turbo lag. OK, my car could not be performing right, as I'm only used to an NA I wouldn't know for sure yet, but everything seems to be fine. The NA just DID NOT (obviously) have that initial lag for standstill, but pulled right from when you put it into first gear and pressed go. This is one reason I would probably consider a naturally aspirated car in the future. I like the 350 - comparable, if not exactly the same power, but an NA engine. Now they are beginning to get to reasonable prices (350 on autotrader) they look quite good to me. Still not the same as a 300 thoug…

Just got back from Ztech...... Ryan and gang have fitted auto turbos into my manual. What a difference! The boost now kicks in much earlier (about 2.3k revs) and it makes the car much more nippy around town and has a fair bit more acceleration. Sure, I've lost the 180mph top end (now about 155mph) but I can live with that :) Thanks Ryan and the boys at Ztech - your customer service and great workmanship have done you credit once again :)

hi all i think it's about time to upgrade my pc. bought this 1 back in 98. so it's abit behind the time's. I'm really after a laptop as this thing takes up far to much room. i dont use it a lot really only for the internet. but living in the back of beyond and then abit further still, broad band aint around here yet and my ave connection speed is 36000. fook me just check it and it's at 49333 never had that before :bow: so can anyone recomend a good ave price laptop which would suit my needs thanks :bow: graeme

Someone shoot the designers of the 06 creations. The R6? I really wanted to love this bike after the press piccies and was ready to get the cheque book out. Its not nice. GSXR's? All now have K5 plastics which I hate, finish and paint belong on chavs tracksuit. Triumph 675, looks lovely, looks very fragile, narrower than a 999! Ouch! ZX10?, hideous underseat exhausts, cuddly headlights and tamed wheelbase. Why? I think the designers have been reading max power or something, the amount of stick on placcy bits on the new models just gets worse! So its looks like a ZX6R for me!:D Or an 05 ZX10 :hyper:

having real probs with this at the min, my internet is stupidly slow considering im paying £25 per month for broadband (and i only go on this site!!!). rang them last week to which the reply was "there is something wrong with your computer". so i ran "killdisk" and wiped everything then reloaded it all.................still running slow!!!!!!!! :rant: :rant: :rant: just rung them now to which i was told "turn off your norton, turn off your firewall, and see if that helps"! :confused: he then wanted me to monitor my computer for a day and "see how it goes"! anyway after playing up with them he eventually ran some test from his end (so to speak) and cam…

Hi all, Just thought I'd mention this as I think it a a completely convoluted way of revenue generation. There is now a covert camera on the M42 South bound between junctions 5 (Solihull) and 4 (Shirley/A34). It has been mounted on one of the overhead "active traffic management" structures (the electronic signs which tell you how slow to go ...) and is not signposted or marked in yellow. It's two cameras with a flash unit in the middle. Very difficult to spot but I was sitting in traffic going the other way and saw it go off at least 3 times over a two minute period. So be warned ...
