Took the beast back to get the mapping finished today so i should be writing to say how much power she produced and how happy i am but For some reason couldnt map it!? was cutting out at 5000 revs and had us all scratching our heads for 3 hours changing settings?? So just before 7pm and about to give up the mapper tried changing the MAP sensor setting we had been given for the car and sorted :) unfortunatly means we have to remap the whole map from the start but at least we will be able to do the whole map and actually run some boost now :D But at 7000 revs running no boost i did get 224 rwhp  Be nice to run some decent boost :hyper: …

I was driving the wifes Vectra yesterday when the wierdest thing started to happen. When the revs hit about 3000 ( on acceleration ONLY ) the car starts whistling LOUDLY and then stops as you go over 3000. It doesn't whistle when just reving the car, but theres a loud induction/suction sound coming from underneath. any ideas, i can't find where the whistling is comin from due to it only doin it whilst accelerating. HEELLLPPPP!!!!!!

At risk of being banned again for posting what could potentially be trash but... I have been convicted of driving without insurance :slap: and I have had some insurance quotes for when I get my driving licence back, and quite frankly they are horrendous. I will be starting again from scratch, have to take a driving theory and practical test, although I will have 12 points on my licence for 2 years and then 6 for the following 2. All of the quotes I have had are in this ball park : Ford fiesta, R reg, £2500 TPFT. Does anyone know of an insurance company who will be able to improve upon this, as I am at my witts end, and when i do eventually get a nissan…

  16. I was taking my wheels off to spay all the bits behind (excpet brake surfaces) with ACF50 anti corrosion fluid. When putting one (OZ) wheel back I busted the centre cap. I think it can be mended but is there anywhere that sells replacements? Cheers folks!

I had my Car Cover delivered today. I only ordered it yesterday. Thats a remarkable service given by Chris. I will take a few pictures tomorrow as I havent had time today and its now dark outside. But By the looks of "whats in the box" It is of a very good quality and I think an asset to the ownership of A car that I obviously want to keep spick and span. I havent got a garage only the drive and this item will do just fine thank you. If you havent got a garage and want to look after your car. Get one. it'll be the best item you have bought for your car to date. Thanks Chris. most excellently pleased.

Chuffed, I got flashed by a camera in Plymouth a month or so ago and have been worried that I'd end up with 9 points and the potential of losing my licence if I got flashed again. Instead they have put me on a speed awareness course. It'll still cost £60 but I wont get the points. It was ridiculous as I thought it was a 40mph limit so I was going along at 39mph completely aware of my speed. I then got flashed because it was a 30mph zone (doh!). Oh and it was at midnight with not another car (or person) in sight. I got the picture off of them as I wasn't sure if it was me driving at the time. It would have been too much hassle to contest it and the cost of driving ba…

Its not very often I get irate about stuff, normally quite laidback, but they were discussing an article on the radio today, about a schoolkid who was suspended from school for refusing to remove a crucifix and chain around their neck. Apparently the reason was it could offend people of another faith ! Other children in the class from a different country and background were allowed to keep wearing some sort of bangle, as it is part of their religion and culture. When the kid pointed this out, and said that if they had to remove their religous jewellery, it was only fair for everybody to abide by the same rules, she was suspended !!! What…
