Hi. Quite a strong smell of petrol from the engine bay when the engine is cold. Clears when engine warms up. Any ideas?

Hi I've got a small oil leak between engine bell housing and auto box. It seems to be coming from the automatic transmission. It sounds like a major problem so any advice before I start. Car 1996 TT Import. Thanks

Had the engine out to do a few jobs, on refitting it I cannot close the gap between the engine bell housing and the autobox. Is there a trick to this or just keep trying. Thanks

I've removed everything gearbox, exhaust, mounting bolts but on lifting the engine raises a little then stops and the whole car lifts. I've obviously forgotten something but I can't see what it is. Anybody got any ideas. Thanks Howard

It's probably been asked many times before, but I cannot see anything in the FAQ. I need to replace both Turbos. Any tips, specialist tools and what spares do I need. I've got a spare set of Turbos. I don't want to take the engine out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I found a bolt in one Turbo and the other is stiff to turn. The car has done about 150K. UK 1994 Auto. Thanks

I have removed the front spring and shock absorber and I have found play in the upper link arm on both sides. Is this normal. If not what is the best repair. The manual is not very clear. The play seems to be between the bolt and the bush. Any help please. Whilst I've got the front suspension in bits is it worth changing any other wearing parts. Thanks.

Help. Came on last night, it's the light above the ABS warning light looks like a windscreen with a jet of water, checked the washer bottle and thats OK. Any ideas please

I bought a UK TT 1994 about 3 years ago and found later that it had the same size tyres back and front. The car is definately a UK model. I dont use the car much as I work overseas. I want to correct this mistake. The tyres now fitted are 225/50 ZR16. Does this mean the rear wheels are incorrect or can you fit undersized tyres on standard wheels. There is a chance that over the years the wheels have been mixed up so is there an identification mark on the wheels or must you measure them. The rear tyres never last more than 4 or 5000 miles so what is the best make and size for allround performance. I have owned 300ZXs from 1992 and never had more than 6000 miles from a set of rear tyres. That includes a new one I bought in 1992. Any advice please. Finally if I have the incorrect wheels fitted to the rear has anyone got 2 for replacing them with or without tyres. Thanks.

Thanks for the help. The computer showed 9 flashes which meant motor/relay fault. Changed the relay now OK.

The ABS light is on and the pump on the distribution unit above drivers rear wheel is running continuously. I've checked the obvious. Any ideas??. It sounds to me like a computer fault, anyone got a spare. Thanks for any help.
