Good morning,
Just a short thread to introduce myself and my Z.
Myself:
My name is Kevin, 26 years old, born and raised in Switzerland (in the french-speaking region) with both parents portuguese.
Brainwashed by the Fast and Furious franchise, I have always been a Nissan fanboy, from the Pulsars to the S14s and obviously the almighty Skylines.
I am currently still student, doing my master in Science of Engineering (Materials, Production and Manufacturing) but I am already working part-time as a Research assistant in Additive Manufacturing.
My 300ZX:
I bought my 300ZX Twin Turbo 5 speed 2+2 in 2012, back when I was 21 after several summer holidays spent working on roofs. Curiously the Z had never been my Nissan of choice. But I stumbled upon this beauty and I literally fell in love. The car is gorgeous and its styling aged very well. The black leather interior is so simple and comfortable. The Z32 was the perfect car for cruising.
Because of my student status, I have not done lots of work on my Z. I should be posting some pictures of it soon.
Plans for my Z:
I am currently changing the moldings and some of the weatherstripping to give it a fresher look and to stop the targa leaks. Plans for this year: evo brembos, coilovers, and wheels (I dream of a nice set of SSR professor SP3s). Also when I will be working full time I am planning on redoing a complete paint job. The original paint of the car was Cherry Red Pearl but the previous owner painted it some kind of ferrari red. I prefer the original color, plus the paint job was poorly done.
Other cars-related plans:
I still dream of owning a Pulsar Gti-R. It would be the perfect daily driver for our mountain roads and for the winter snow. Plus the SR20DET is one of my dream engines. And I am sick of these Golfs, A3s and A250s every young "car guy" owns in Switzerland.
