You’re right, and I too cannot see why the inspection guy won’t accept the export document, but that’s What they told me. I guess to begin with, I could try to talk to them again and ask for alternatives

So, I got the reply from DVLA, and it was not positive :( here’s What they wrote: Dear Mr Pedersen, Thank you for your enquiry received on 28/3/2018. Your case reference number is 00537834. It may be helpful if I explain that it is not possible to send a V5C Registration Certificate to an address outside the UK. If a vehicle is permanently exported, we are only able to send a Certificate of Export in order for the vehicle to be registered in the foreign country. We would only issue a new V5C if the vehicle was brought back into the UK and re-registered. I am sorry I have not been able to provide a more favourable response. Yeah, it seems like no Big decitions can be made by telephone, although they are very polite to talk to. I wrote them a kind letter last night, so now I can do nothing but wait and hope for the best. Thank you very much :)

You are right, but according to the first Danish owner of my car, he never managed to get the V5C from the seller. And that’s what bothers me now

You might have a point in giving Them the information that I got. That Way they might be more likely to understand my issue and maybe help me out. Haven’t thought of it that way. I already talked to them twice on the phone, and they only told me that they could do nothing but send me a certificate of permanent export. I think I’ gonna email them this time, and see if I can give a better explaination that way :)

I have an official document called certificate of permanent export, but Yesterday I bought a VIN check on Cazana, and in that report, my car is not stated as exported. So I don’t know actually

Thanks mate, unfortunately I’ve already got one of these, and it was not good enough for the inspection guy I have got the V5C/2 slip, but as I am not a citizen in the UK I am not able to use that to apply for a new V5C either.

Hey Folks! Now this might be a long shot, but I’m desperately in need of finding the previous owners of my Z. From the info I can find on the internet, there has been 2 owners in the UK. First owner aquired the car on June 11th 2005 where it was imported from Japan, and second owner got the car on April 11th 2008. The car was then exported to Denmark on July 10th 2012. I know the name of the second owner, but cannot seem to find any contact information. My problem is that now I want to register the car here in Denmark, the inspection Company needs to see the previous V5C in order to register it. All other possibilities to register has been shut down by the government ? When I bought the car from another Dane, I didn’t get the V5C. I traced down the guy who imported the Vehicle to Denmark, and he told me that he was never given the full V5C from UK. That’s why I have a small hope that one of the previous owners of my car will be able to provide me with the missing document in order for me to finally get to drive my beloved Z on the roads ? The old registration nummer from UK is K648PHW and here is a picture of the car. If you need more information, feel free to ask me and I will do my best to provide them.
