  1. Thanks for the offer FunkySi:) Just to be clear is that a box of ten costs £9 or more probably that each of the ten costs £9 ie £90 for the box of ten. If the later, then probably a bit rich for me:( It would probably take some time to sell the rest off to recoup my outlay? Anybody fancying buying a stick???? :D ChrisC, Yes I believe it is the R32. Agreed, I'm bloody sure they certainly are made that way! Thanks for everybody's comments/help on this:)
  2. Thanks for the link Darrell:) Yes the car is lowered so possibly? I think my question is relatively answered now though, in as much as I can install the new arms in confidence that i'm not going to make the car drive worse than before and not be able to be put it back into spec on the adjusters. Also its kind of nice to know that the arms can also fit some Skyline models if ever I need to sell them:dance:
  3. Think I may have an explanation as to what they are or rather what they came off (thanks MrF). Seems that a lot of Nissans had this suspension set up, one of those being a Skyline and having done a quick search I have come up with this link pictures. http://www.driftworks.com/catalog/products/r32z32-front-upper-camber-arms.html?products_id= The top picture looks pretty like a Powertrix adjustable arm turned through 180 degrees like my picture above??? Given the above assumption is true, the original straight ones must have been replaced with these other bent ones at some point. Does that mean my car would have less caster with these bent items? What would the benifit of that have been?
  4. Thanks guys for your comments:) I agree it looks like its been bent, however the arm on the other side is also bent in the same way and oddly marked R in the same way as the one in the picture is marked L. Also close up the arm does looked to have been manufactured in that way, no stress cracks, paint seems factory without chips or crazing and as you said j1mmytt the L is marked parallel to the A. I'm bloody baffled:confused::confused:
  5. I'm in the process of upgrading my brakes and some of my front suspension on my 91 SWB N/A. When taking off the upper arms I noticed that both are (as the middle arm in the picture shows) cranked over. However I dug out a spare upper arm I had as part of some other 2nd hand stuff I bought and it was straight (Left arm in the picture). By twisting the Powertrix adjustable arm around it kind of lines up with the original arm (centre) but is this OK to use like this? I have done some searching on this and other 300ZX sites to little avail, I could be using incorrect terminology or I could just be being daft, either way some assistance/advice would be appreciated. On a connected issue, the Powertrix parts come with the mention of a Loctite Silver Grade anti-seize stick' to use on all of the threads to ease future adjustment and prevent loosening due to vibration. I can't seem to find this stuff in this country does anybody know where to get it from or a good equivalent? Cheers, Steve
  6. Yes I know the wire you are talking about, it goes to pin 16 on the ECU. Effectively this will always be a live wire irespective of key position, it starts from the coils of the ECU and Ignition relays and is grounded by the ECU to turn the relays on, which sounds exactly what is happening when you ground it. Honestly I don't think your problem is there. Don't loose the faith bud, it can be fixed! Please bear with me a bit, having gone back over this and a couple of your other threads on the associated problems with this car, can you let me know if you are still popping fuses when you turn the key or are you still having a problem with the ECU not doing anything at all now?
  7. Just a thought, but if you have done everything you can to check out and replace the fuel system, checked for chaffing or damage to the loom which could cause shorting, checked the state of the connectors for posible shorts, then the only other items that that fuse protects apart from the ECU is the CAS or AFM directly. If either of these two or the wiring that feeds them is buggered then they could be popping your fuse too.
  8. Hi, Just logged back in after a few weeks away and have noticed that I have been set to the above and my PM account has been disabled. I'm fully paid up (renewed by Paypal on the 10/11/07) and the website subscription section show this is in force. Could someone please sort my account out or let me know whats going on? Cheers!
  9. Hi Ivan, yup still got your install in it, you must have had some serious patience with all that mdf trimming!!! However the wife is constantly complaining about where she is going to put the shopping though, so I may have to shift the amp and protect the sub! Women!!
  10. Thanks for the welcome all! Yes I'm more than aware of the cars history and Chunk's driving ability, I'm saving me cash to be able to replace the 'worn' tyres and fix the handbrake :D :D :D :D :D I hope to get out to a few meets at some point over the coming months, but then again I hope to do a lot of things but continually find myself in the garage buggering around with one of the zed's :slap: mantav8, How you doing? No it still isn't done, I keep praying for the LS1 fairies to finish the wiring and pop the bloody thing back in, but they subbornly refuse to oblige! :D Ah well, one day it'll move under its own power ;) Sussex stu, good to know that is another zed owner out there close by. I was starting to feel isolated with the S30's as there doesn't seem to be another around here for bloody miles! Be good to meet up at some point. Cheers All!

  13. Hi All As the new proud owner of a SWB N/A Z32 I thought I join up. :D :D I have a couple of early Z's one which is having a late FI SBC fitted hence my member name and a few 280ZX's for the fun (well somebody has to own them :D ). I have been a member of the ZClub for a couple of years but I heard it pays to get about a bit. Loving the Z32, don't know why I didn't buy one sooner :D Steve-300ZX, I think I have completely cocked-up the Paypal bit, I will email you if I can to send you my details. Cheers, Steve
