Replacing Bosch 069 battery
Unfortunately I don't have a garage so I cant keep it on a trickle charger, only a driveway. As mentioned before, I have a battery cutoff to reduce battery drain as much as I can. But the battery is dead so it still needs replacing. I don't mind having to replace it in another 5 years, I just want to pick the best one I can.

Replacing Bosch 069 battery
Yeah that where i got the suggestions for the e44 https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/varta/e44/ and the e38 https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/varta/e38/ from. But it didn't confirm whether the e44 actually fit and was used. Both also have smaller cca than the 334 model batteries from eurocarparts, which no one has used. But then i'm left with my original dilemma of choosing between Yuasa, Varta and Bosch aha

Replacing Bosch 069 battery
Hi, after 4 and a half years my bosch 069 has completely died just outside of warranty. Its been pretty useless since I bought it even with a battery cutoff. I don't know if it makes a difference but the car is a japanese import. At the time there was a more expensive 334 model but at the time I couldn't find any information of people fitting it in the 300zx. Now ive realised that it has a capacity of 830cca vs the 069 capacity of 630cca. There appear to be 3 brands to choose from and I cant find a definitive answer on which brand to go with. There is Yuasa https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/yuasa-battery-44477334Z, Varta https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/varta-blue-334-car-battery-4-year-guarantee-444773342, and Bosch https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/bosch-s4-car-battery-334-4-year-guarantee-444773347. I don't know which one to select and have found some others mentioned on the forums and dont know what to go for https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/bosch/s4008/ https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/varta/e44/ https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/varta/e38/ https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/varta/e23/ I dont know what to go for, as the other batteries i've found in previous threads don't come up as compatible and I don't want to end up getting the wrong battery. But I also don't want another smaller capacity one and my experience with the bosch 069 has put me off them a bit.

I was also asked what tyre pressure i want them at. I had no idea what the ideal tyre pressure is. Is there an ideal tyre pressure for the stretched 235's and 265's?

All my local tyre shops wanted £15 a corner to put the tyres on and balance them. Took them to a place and they wouldn't go on! The wheel nuts on the car have some weird collar at the bottom of the nuts stopping them from connecting to the alloys. I bought a locking wheel nut set for the car so now I have 1 nut for each alloy. Can anyone recommend some normal wheel nuts to go on the alloys? Would I need to look for ones specific to my Bola B1 alloys?

So would it be better to have the ones which reuse the OEM top mounts or the ones which come with their own? Or would it not make a difference? Would an allignment help prevent uneven tyre wear with camber, and would it make a great deal of difference just justify the £250 cost of buying front and rear camber arms? Am I correct in assuming the suspension drop would be 20mm, Or is that the minimum drop?

Would it also be a good idea to get something like this for the car if im not taking it to a track? Or just stick to the oilovers https://www.driftworks.com/driftworks-r32-suspension-kit.html

Whats the difference between these 3 sets of coilovers, is it appears the ride heigh drop is 15/20mm on all of them? http://www.jdl-online.com/nissan/nissan-300-zx.html If i were to have them installed would I just tell my insurer that the drop is 20mm?

Picked up these yesterday, 9.5j all around. The offset is 30 from my measurements Ive ordered these tyres for the front https://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s322p135333/Michelin_Tyres_Car_Michelin_Pilot_Sport_4_PS4_-_235_40_R18_%2895Y%29_XL_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_C_Wet_Grip%3A_A_NoiseClass%3A_2_Noise%3A_71dB and these for the rear https://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s66p135328/Michelin_Tyres_Car_Michelin_Pilot_Sport_4_PS4_-_265_35_R18_%2897Y%29_XL_TL_Fuel_Eff_%3A_C_Wet_Grip%3A_A_NoiseClass%3A_2_Noise%3A_71dB I'm certain the rears will fit, but will it be safe to run the tyres stretched on the front alloys? and well there be clearance considering the width of the alloys? - - - Updated - - -

There would be some hooning but the £80 saving would be on new tyres. Although at the moment a staggered setup may not happen as I missed out on the alloys I was trying to buy, and I may end up getting some Bola B1 alloys as i've seen some 9.5j ones at a good price and may pick them up tomorrow. Just got to work out whether they fit...

Would there be much difference if put 225/40 instead of 235/40 on the front and 255/35 instead of 265/35 on the rear. Would it affect the Speedo much because I can save £80 by going for 10mm narrower tyres

Ive found some alloys with some tyres which if I can agree a price with the seller i'll be picking up soon. Still got lots of other things to address though. The problem is that although they are 8j front and 9j rear. The fronts are 245/40 18's and the 9j rears have 265/35 18's but the fronts have over 5mm of tread and the rears need replacing, but the rolling radius would differ due to the width of the fronts being 245 instead of 235. Would it be ok to run 245/40 on the front with the 265/35 rears, or would I need to change them for 235/40. The car doesn't have traction control, and I dont know anything about the diff, but would there be much of a negative impact on the car just running the 245's on the front until they have worn down to the point where they need replacing?

Also found this as well but it would need to be able to start my class and potentially a V10 M6 or S6 in the future. - - - Updated - - - Car Jump Starter, Tacklife 600A 16500mAh Emergency Booster Pack, Battery Pack, Power bank with 3 Output Ports 12V/10A, 5V / 2A, 5V / 1A and 3 LED Modes ( Canvas Carry Case Included) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B075HBDN95/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_72qsAbZQ8QRX4

Turns out the wobble was just the wheel nuts. But I didn't have the right socket to tighten them. However the new bosch battery which I bought from carparts4lesswas completely dead after 2 weeks of standing so im thinking that something may be draining it. But as I've had issues with a few cars batteries going dead I thinking that it may be worth buying a jumper battery pack instead of having to move around cars to jump them every time. Has anyone got one that they can recommend?. I've been looking at this as it's reviewed well. From what I read of vredensteins they're not good in the wet, But amazing in the dry. However as I will be dailying the car, most of my driving will be most likely damp, and very rarely some puddles. So I would need tires that are decent in the wet moreso than the dry.

Ordered the calibres after asking them if they would fit. After looking at the cost of a full set of pilot sport 4's I'm wondering would it be worth saving £80 and getting a set of Goodyear F1 asymetric 3's instead? I've also noticed a few weeks ago after driving back after a service from Leicester a knocking sound from the drivers siderear. Which after driving to work and back a week ago turned into a scraping noise and then a wobble. Would this be the suspension. And would it be worth me putting in coilovers if it is? I've found this Twin street advance kit which appears to be very cheap. https://h-tune.co.uk/tein-japanese-performance-coilovers-various-models/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAyZLSBRDpARIsAH66VQI7oyApTLy8b3I7_qynOPXb8ZHwgkyl7GxO5mxJdE2Xn5kbcmdweDkaAgA8EALw_wcB#189=7703&195=7899&192=7932 Would this be suitable for fast daily use? Or should I pay twice as much for the flex z kit or Meister's R's?

Although after putting the details of my car in, it says that the 8j et43 fronts would not fit? From the calculator I cant see why not if the 9j et35 alloys would fit. Am I missing something or is their list when i select the car just incorrect? https://www.performancealloys.com/wheel-details.aspx?ID=7243

I was wondering because the fronts im looking at are these 18x8 ET 43 (5x114.3) 73.1 Centre Bore and the rears are 18x9 ET 35 (5x114.3) 73.1 Centre Bore so i want to make sure that if i went with the same tyre setup as yourself, it would fit correctly

Would those tyres be good for everyday driving as well, as most of the time the road conditions are normally damp or just cold. from what ive rear the pilot sport 4's are the best. What alloys do you have on your car, and what is the width and offset?
-

I would only lower it to make sure there isnt much gap, im not fussed about even lowering the car.

Its either this in 9.5j all the way around https://www.7twenty.co.uk/collection...ant=1622667139 or these staggered 8.5j and 9.5j https://www.performancealloys.com/wh...lse&load=False But because ive never bought alloys, or different tyres to what was already on the car before I dont know what to choose, so I basically need someone to tell me what to buy

What do you have and did you have on the front. And what tyres did you have? If its not advisable to run 9.5j all the way around then i would get these in 8.5j front and 9.5j rear https://www.performancealloys.com/wheel-details.aspx?ID=7243&offset=False&load=False
