  1. OK, had a look today, not much room in there is there lol... kinda expected it though. Can't get the tape measure in to measure the diameter of the pipe properly, does anyone know what size it is so I can get the right bit? (I mean the size of pipe I will need to make the u-bend out of copper pipe). Cheers...
  2. OK nice one guys will bypass for now, thing is though, i assume the heaters dont work then...? Could be kinda nippy in there in the winter! LOL Does it affect the engine in any way and do the blowers still blow?
  3. Turned on my windscreen demister earlier and steam started coming throuhj the vents and water was spraying out into the passenger footwell... not good. Is it a simple job to replace? IE can I do it myself or should I just go to my garage.... bloody thing...
  4. Hi folks, just picked up my Z from having a major service and just thought I'd try and get an idea how well I did pricewise. My Mechanic (he's like a greasy pet lol) is a private garage but he worked for nissan for 15 years and ids fairly well Z experienced. The job was... oil, oil filter, sparkplugs, air filter, cambelt, air-con belt, pas belt and alternator belt, and front brake pads.... always keeps all the old bits to show me what he's done... £200 labour , £211 parts, inc VAT. total £411 inc vat. I reckon thats ok... what do you guys think?
  5. Sorry to hijack the thread but my drivers lock was screwdrivered a while back and is dead I might be interested in buying a set of locks & keys... deejdave@aol.com cheers.
  6. Spotted the first bit on drivers side rear arch this month and mines a 1990 imported z from Jap in 96
  7. The stuff leaking out of the bushes is silicone, I had them go on my car. They had to be done for the mot and it cost me £90 a pair just for the bushes! As for exhaust, when I priced them up I found that it was cheaper to go to a local exhaust specialist and get a custom stainless system built for me. Quotes ranged from £450 to £600 for me. (torbay, devon.) Hope this helps...
  8. I had smoke from the same place, turned out to be oil leaking from the back of the crankcase/engine area on the right bank, onto the exhaust pipe, which was then causing smoke to come out from under the front right. Might just need some new gaskets?
  9. In My Humble Opinion... ;-)
  10. ps its a 1990 jap import LWB TT if that helps.
  11. Hi guys, i need a new front bumper as mine is cracked due to being lowered and ****y speedbumps. Anyway, I would like to buy a bumper that will utilise all the original front lighting (fogs etc) so i dont have to buy new lights too. Can any of you reccomend one? I will prob get from the z centre if any of theres will do this... cheers.
  12. Ok cheers guys will double check but sure ive done em all... its so random, sometimes bad sometimes good for days on end?... will have to wait I'm off to silverstone for the weekend... WOOHOO!
  13. Doesnt one of thje traders on here have a fuel pipe kit I seem to remember?
  14. Like making love to a beautiful woman... lol
  15. Sometimes I get a really strong fuel smell from the car, sometimes on startup, sometimes after a run, sometimes after i have parked up and the car has been sat for a while. Have looked over the threads and done the obvious, tightening all the jubilee clips under the bonnet and its made no difference. Sometimes doesnt happen for days then it does. Any suggestions guys? I'm on the verge of just taking it in and having all the fuel pipes changed... :(
