  1. thanks for the info, in the end I had the whole thing removed, more trouble than it was worth, car now starts on the button
  2. So I have this stupid aftermarket alarm/immobiliser system on my Z, had it when I bought it I attempted to start car after sitting for a bit and primed the ignition with the button on the fob as usual, lights came on dash as normal and car failed to start due to low battery, so I removed battery and charged up in house put battery back on and went to start car, turned key and pressed button on fob to "prime" ignition, usually you wait about 5 seconds and all the dash lights up and start car, however now nothing happens so I presume something has triggered the alarm to immobilise the ignition this has never happened before in my history of ownership (since 2016) and I have had dead battery's / had to jumpstart / removed battery before etc no idea what make it is, see pics of fob and the light/keyhole The alarm still locks and unlocks the doors with the key in the off position in ignition barrel so its all working I have checked ignition related fuses relays etc all are fine Anyone got experience with this sort of problem? car is a dead duck on my drive now
  3. a good move, I had a autobox die on me got it converted to manual and had no issues since, also more fun
  4. Yeh was expensive but will obviously wont break in 5 mins so worth it
  5. Luke advised me the ebay ones would not fit due to the bolt holes being the opposite way round so anyway I went for his genuine part and he got it to me a lot quicker than I thought and car is all fixed and back on the road now , see pic below of new one in situ
  6. Thanks for the links Jeff, they do look very similar, im just awaiting a response from Luke Z Centre on his opinion also and what he recommends before I rush in and order something (ive also emailed him those links for his opinion also) Andrew, thanks for the tips, yes I agree its difficult to fill even with that cap, the straight ones would be even worse. I don't know exactly where its leaking from they didn't give me any more information other than bottom seal!
  7. Leaking from the bottom seal apparently
  8. Yes I hope so too, any in the southern region ?
  9. Nope :( see clutch master cylinder thread
  10. I have emailed Luke Z Centre regarding the matter but obviously if anyone knows how I can get one quicker/from UK please contact me
  11. He is so knowledgeable about these cars its crazy , very friendly and helpful
  12. Ive never actually posted any info on my car before only constant problems I've had, it has spent the last year off the road more than on the road anyway here she is, Japanese Import 1995 Non Turbo Auto converted to Manual Purchased in 2016 from Kent. Imported into UK in 2007
  13. Yep already seen that, 1-3 weeks from Japan, would prefer get something quicker, my cars in bits down local garage there gonna be getting sick of pushing it in and out there workshop
