  1. Yeah Half Day at work, always add to the Loudness on the way home :-)
  2. Hello all, Quick gauge of people in the know, if I could - Clutch pedal was wrongly adjusted by garage, and through driving normally (ie cruising round town, not too fast) and not quite being able to tell what was wrong with the car exactly, I was driving with it for 2 weeks - broken! burning out the clutch. How much would this of damaged my clutch??? as they think I might now need a new one! and could the garage be liable? Thanks
  3. Hello, I did recieve some very useful help on this last week, but it appears my garage has changed mechanics from the one who used to do all my work and the new one is nowhere near as good! Basically the clutch pedal went and they mended it, but didnt adjust the pedal properly so once i worked out what was wrong (via the site & its helpful fellows) i took it back and they mended it again using notes off this site as guidelines, (for free). I have now got it back and the problem still seems to be there but in the higher gears only. Now this could be due to the more powerful accerlaration in the lower gears making it harder to tell, but the higher gears seem to be slipping as before. The garage said they tested it twice (to check for loss of pressure) but may not have been able to realise that the higher gears where still slipping. Before I go in and have it out with them - as i imagine this has ruined my clutch quite a lot now!, would somebody be able to let me know if I am indeed in the right area? Thanks (again....)
  4. Thanks, its sod law it had only had its service/mot a week or so before the pedal went...I will have a look, cheers.
  5. That might be a better way to put it - when putting my foot down the revs go up but the car doesnt pull away. The wheels arent actually spinning - i phrased that badly. It sounds more like the "clutch slip". Thanks
  6. Hi I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced problems when accelarating. My clutch peddle went last week, and i got it replaced & i dont know if its coincedence or not but now when i accelarate it feels like the power isnt going down properly as if the car is wheelspinning, or the clutch was still depressed? Could it be that they tweaked something on the clutch when changing it or is it related to something else? As always any advice would be brilliant as it usually saves alot of money when mending it :-) Thanks
  7. Hello, just wondering if anyone could help. I got a problem with the bottom of my door coming loose which is making it hard to pull shut when getting in. The car has had lambo door hinges on it for a while and whilst i have enderverd to maintain these the doors are not suited for them in the long term, which is where i think this problem has arisen from. I have had a look to see if i can spot a simple method of tightening it back to the door but cant seem to locate where/how this can be done, as the bits i can see seem to already be tight. I would be grateful if anyone has any ideas, as if / when i have to change the doors back to normal hinges i would like to have this problem resolved.
  8. Hello, U went pass with a whilte bonnet on a black body. I was worried i was going to go the whole way from eastbourne to southampton and back without seeing another Zed...On such a sunny day that would of been a shame.
  9. Typically the one day I dont take my zed and I see another one going the smae way I am... Liked your exhausts. I was blue civic trying to get a closer look.
  10. Yeah well thats what I thought, im not too keen on just covering it all over, I hadnt considered spraying it. The carbon Fibre sounds like could be a nice touch but would that involve a lot of $?
  11. Hello all, just wondered if anyone had had any nice finds when looking to update there interiors? I currently have cream and black leather for my interior but am looking to upgrade the centre console etc to bring it all to life a bit more. I saw this on ebay but im not convinced - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=110304071084&Category=72213null&_trksid=p3907.m29 I was thinking of trying to update the lighting following on from a link i saw with LED's, any inspiration would be gratefully recieved. Thanks Dunk
  12. Might seem a silly question this one - but i was checking my spare tire the other day and realised it was only 15" and wondered is that actually going to work if i put it on my car when all the wheels are 18"'s? it has body kit etc and i can just c it damaging the car if used.
  13. Hi, Im just wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for bodywork garages in the brighton and surrounding areas that would be able to fit replacement, and touch up, body kit parts? Thanks
