  1. Hi All, I need a answer to this. Are the electric window motors the same on a jdm 1990 300zx and a uk spec 92. My jdm drivers side motors knackered and I have another one lined up but it's off a uk model. I don't have a garage and with all of the rain we've had and work commitments I haven't been able to get the door card off and check part numbers. Has anyone came across this in their time??? Cheers
  2. Hi, Sounds like the same prob I'm having!!! I'm trying to source some new connectors to solve it but haven't found any yet. Does anyone know where to get them??? Dave
  3. Still having loads of probs with my rad. An absolute pill to remove. Couldn't get at the auto box cooler pipes v easily. Was quted £100.00 for a replacement and although right year etc it was totaly different. Is there much difference between jap and uk spec???
  4. Now THAT'S what I call help and good advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'l put that into practise forthwith..or fifthwith if that's what it takes. Just hope it works. Also hope that it's only a rad that I need and not new heads as well!
  5. Just polish the red a bit more! Does that make it go quicker?!?! I hope so...Just priced a Rad! Ouch...But very tempting too if I can get it past the other half. :nono:
  6. How long is a piece of string. I have owned this car for over a year and havn't started to mod it yet. As long as this leak...okay it blew at 80ish with a lot of steam!!!...hasn't damaged anything seriously I want to start tweaking it a bit. I love these cars to bits. All thats been done is a turbo timer that I know of and a Jasmo stainless steel exhaust. Also I get the goosehonk so suspect it may have had induction done. How do you tell??????
  7. Cheers m8. Love the car! Mines red too but isn't quite as tasty as yours.....YET. Thanks for the advice, tho. Any idea of the best place to get rad from???
  8. Sorry to be dense but what is an AIV? Only had my 300 for a year and never had much trouble until recently. Also can the radiator on the cars be repaired as mine is leaking (BADLY). Cheers.
  9. Re: Goosehonk. Always wondered what that noise was!! What causes it and how do you get rid of it????
  10. Hi, Has anyone got a radiator for sale for a tt auto import. 1990 model. Mines peeing water everywhere and I don't know wether you can repair these rads. I use the car for work every day so need one in a hurry. What's the point of having a 300 and not enjoying it!!!! I'm trying to find a rad in the North East so I can pick it up and also make sure it's the right one. Any suggestions/help???
  11. Thanks guys. Anyone out there got a rad for sale??????
  12. I think I may have a crack or maybe have split a seam in my radiator. How hard are they to work on? Can they be fixed or are they of the plastic type? The water is peeing out when it is about two thirds full. Problem is the car overheated at speed and the temp gauge only went up slightly so i was driving on it for a while!!! Hope there's no pemanent damage!!! Any suggestions please.
  13. Help!!!!! I'm based up in the Newcastle on Tyne area and would love to know if there are any good mechanics or garages that know what they are doing with the ZX. Preferably one's that don't try to rip you off as soon as they see what you are driving!!!! I have a few problems with my 90 tt and am no mechanic myself. Any suggestions please.
  14. Hi Mate, I had the same problem earlier this year. There was a 4 inch piece of pipe leaking at the back of the engine. Couldn't even see it. It cost £80.00 to get fixed at the garage as the only way to get at it was on a ramp and then fixed mainly by feel. At least it's a lot less to replace than a heater matrix!!!
