a sad thread & a warning
I've used Lee a number of times for work on my Z and I've had zero issues, I've even had parts stored in his unit for months and collected them after deciding not to fit them. I find all this news very saddening as Lee has been nothing but helpful and forth coming about work on my car. I hope things can be resolved for those effected, but a reputation that must of taken years to build is in tatters in such a short space of time, because of silly mistakes and and poor judgement. Shame. B00m

Advice! New Gear Knob Fitted, Gaiter Issue
Thanks for the reply's guys, I'm not really interested in the retrim option at this moment in time. Just had a new Nissan gaiter arrive from across the pond which appears to have a smaller ring.

Advice! New Gear Knob Fitted, Gaiter Issue
This one I have on at the moment is weighted but my OEM is tatty. I spoke to Nissan about a new one and that was £99.

Advice! New Gear Knob Fitted, Gaiter Issue
The OEM knob covers the gaiter which is probably why its a large ring at the top, so it can slide down the shifter. So another gaiter with a smaller ring, if somebody has one already maybe?

Advice! New Gear Knob Fitted, Gaiter Issue
I've just fitted a new gear knob and the gear gaiter doesn't suit the knob. The ring at the top of the gaiter is too large and sags. What gaiters have people purchased to tidy up the look? Cheers.

What did you do to your zed today?
Collected the Z from LA Auto's yesterday, Lee put a manual box in for me along with a few other bits. As always Lee has been a diamond. I did enjoy the auto to be honest from a lazy point of view, but I felt the power delivery was also kind of lazy. Now I've swapped to the manual and upped the boost the car has a louder note which is quite addictive and overall I prefer the involvement of driving a manual. I wasn't planning on having the swap done this early into my ownership but no regrets.

93 Import Auto Box 34k miles
As my car is currently in for a manual conversion, my auto box is up for sale. It has been removed from my 93tt Jap import with just 34k miles on it. The box, flex plate, bolts & leather shifter are all currently located at LA Auto Repairs & Lee has kindly put them all on to a pallet for me. Lee Dent can vouch for the condition and the running of my car, which is a great example. Buyer is to arrange collection £250ono

What did you do to your zed today?
Put the Z on the rollers again after Veizu couldn't figure out how to run the auto's. Dynodaze had no issues, 285bhp 271ft lb

What did you do to your zed today?
Managed to fit my new wheels and spacers at last, have to say a BIG thanks to Funkysi (not sure how to tag him properly) for his help with offsets and tyres. Spent the day with Lee at LA for an mot and was hoping to get my Tein coilovers on. On the plus side the Z passed with no advisories, the down side being I was told that standard top mounts would work with the coilovers, turns out they didn't. So new top mounts required. In preparation for my coilovers I purchased some plain coilover covers and had a friend of mine put a logo on the sides so they look the part. So the hunt for top mounts and centre caps begins :)

Mileage?
Just over 33k on the clocks, not had much chance to use her with the weather we have had so I've literally drove from the previous owners to mine & been to Lee at LA Auto two or three times. Honestly doubt ill cover more than 1k miles a year.

Driftworks Coilovers
Bought from another member on here the end of last year, I haven't fitted them as I am waiting on some wheels. No leaks and just looking to get back what I paid. £200 collected from West Midlands or £225 Delivered. Cheers Tom.
