  1. Hi, Recently had some wielding done to the front subframe mounting that required all radiators to be taken out to get to the part, while all of we replaced all the belts. Now the car is back together it's displaying mission oil light diff oil light and lights light in red, with an odd buzzing sound from behind dashboard, Alain the car will now only boost to 0.5? Any ideas what the course could be?? Cheers
  2. Hi, Just looking for a bit of advise on how to value my car, after Many months of the wife complaining my z takes up too much room in the garage and I never have time to use it iv finally given in and she's got to go, just no idea of value and how to price it. The car is a 1991 uk spec manual tt, it's done 72k miles and apart from a bit of a bubble coming on drivers rear arch is in really good condition. It has got service history but not full, mod wise bodywork is standard apart from wheels, it has bigger intercoolers and hks induction kit, it went to see Noel a couple of months ago and is producing 360 wheel hp at only 1 bar of boost that's apparently quite good? So it's gunna go on eBay or sumat when i get round to sorting mot and just wondered what price I should be looking for... I'd post a pic but don't know how lol cheers
  3. It could just be me being picky lol.... Hoping to get her booked in with noz in the next few weeks as he's been on holiday, I'll update the before and afters see what's what lol......... :cursing:
  4. 1 thing bothers me... It does seem as this on tick over it misses a beat every so often, I'm sure it never used to. Injector maybe???
  5. I'm really just testing the water lol.... To be fair when you drive a car you can tell if she's poorly and not long of this world. Butterflies this does feel really solid... With it been the UK spec I'm sure it was 300hp as standard so another 100 shouldn't hurt, I've contacted Noel going to arrange a time and date for him to do the work.... See what he says lol
  6. 16psi??? And I was worrying over 12 lol.... What do they run at standard?? Is it 9.5???
  7. Uv sent noal a msg on here, does any1 have any idea where he's based?? Ian I though 14psi would result in a loud bang and coming to a stop lol :helpsmilie:
  8. will do..... Cheers guys
  9. I didn't think you could do that? Mine is the stock Ecu with no plug in? :shifty:
  10. Noz? How would this work I would send him my original ecu? As for EBC IS 12psi a happy number lol? Really don't wanna hurt me baby so trying to be as careful as possible lol.... Cheers - - - Updated - - - Ignore the question marks..... They supposed to be a smiley face
  11. Cheers Gary will have a look, Nottingham not to far at all for me
  12. Hi all newbe to the site ? Brief history... I have a 1991 manual UK spec tt, it's almost hit 70k miles with good service history, I have owned the car for nearly 2 years, in this time I have been trying to get things up to 100% e.g all the rear set up tie bars etc... Anything that looked slightly corroded I replaced, bodywork wise the car is in good condition apart from the 1 rear arch witch is just staring to show signs off corrosion. ( I am looking for some 1 to do the work but most seem reluctant ) Upgraded parts wise it is standard other than a cat back exhaust hks air filter and upgraded intercoolers, I have groves updated discs coming in the next few weeks. This is where I need a bit of help The car was rolling roared with air filter and cat back exhaust and was running at 315bhp, from what I've read these cars on stock internals can SAFELY run at 380ish. I'm in the proses of buying an electronic boost controller and I already have a Jim wolf chip getting delivered next weekend, soooo how are these chips fitted lol? Is there anywhere local (Rotherham) that can do it? Also boost controller? Easy to do yourself or is a proper mechanic needed? And psi wise on the boost, I've heard / read that 12 psi is a safe level of boost to use? I have basic to moderate mechanical know how but boost pressures and Ecu chips are beyond me Any help much appreciated Cheers
