but then wouldnt have to wire all your speakers into both amps? i think getting hte splitters is the easiest option just mute the stero when your watching the dvd and when you want the stero back mute the dvd. getting another amp seems a very expensive option and very overly complicated buddy

i think you will have to get a pair of RCA splitters and put them on the amp and then wire both dvd and stero into the amp and then just turn one off when your not using it so their is only 1 signal being recived from the amp. see attached jpeg
