ive built loads and never had a problem, but now it's cheaper to buy a barebones system than to buy the parts and put it together. have a look at the "Asus Vintage V2" used loads of these doing jobs for people and you cant fault them, they have everything and more than your parents need

i would never buy from dell or pc world. if they still have their screen, mouse and keyboard all you need is the box. there is one on ebuyer for £200 thats including VAT hth

all you need to do "acquire" a windows disk, put it in the cd drive at the very start and boot from the cd. then when is gives you options to install on the drive choose "Format using NTFS" and you will have a completly clean drive hth

all you would of needed to do is format the hard drive and put windows back on, no need to spend 400 on a new pc
