Anyone on here have a Gunmetal grey Z?

This is a reply I got from a scammer some months ago. The car was a Ferrari 308GTS '78 which was almost half the price of the rest of the 308GTS'. After searching the net I found an almost identical letter. Shipping a car from GB to Finland with air cargo, it would cost almost as much as the car.. LMAO!! I also told him I'm going for a business trip to GB in a week, and would be able to come a and take a look at it, he didn't say a word about that in his next letter. First letter: Hello, I received your email regarding my car. The car is in perfect condition,with no scratches on it,no dammage.The price for the car with shipping included, is 7500 euro . For closing the deal you will make a deposit of 3500 EURO . I consider this deposit a reservation for the car . The first one that makes a deposit will be the owner . The buyer will receive all papers and receipts that he needs to register it in his name. He will receive the TITLE,keys,owner manual... It has a Clear Title and it is in Showroom Condition. The car belongs to my uncle . He died two weeks ago . The car is now in United Kingdom as my uncle lived there.I am now here as i took care of the funerals , me being his only relative . Because i can't carry all of his things back home i am selling them. I am willing to sell it and ship it to any of the UE countries .I know that the price is low but i have no use for the car and I want to get back home as soon as i sell it. I want to sell the car asap so I am willing to pay the shipping fees no matter the location. Please REPLY WITH YOUR NAME AND SHIPPING ADDRESS IN YOUR NEXT EMAIL as i will need them for the shipping . This way, although I cannot collect the money I have the proof that you are serious about this deal. The main idea about this method is that is much faster than other services (like escrow or ups cod), but at the same time is just as secure. Moreover you are in perfect control over the transaction until you receive the package! I have used this method in the past and it worked perfectly and i assure you that it is 100% safe. This is actually what you want, isn't it? I would also like to note that this method puts the burden on the seller in this case and not on the buyer. Hopefully that puts you at ease a little. I am a man of my word and will withhold my end of the bargain.

If there isn't an option for stopping the bid (I'm not familiar fit E-bay) Make a new account, and make the biggest bid with that one. That’s one way to do it, maybe against the rules, but when you really think about it why would you care about the rules if you will loose i.e. three grand.. Just my opinion so don’t take it to seriously :p

To be honest about the silver, I dont like it.. makes the car look old, but that's just my oppinnion.

It would be very kind if someone knows, or could be kind enough to measure the targa. This way would be the easiest way to know if they'll fit :)

As above, does the Z32 targas fit in the Z31 bags? My father left me a pair of unused original Z31 targa bags, and it would be nice if the Z32 targas would fit in them. He also left me a unused original Z31 "nose protector", don't know the real name, but you can fit it over the front bumper, and it works as a protector against gravel flying up from the street. But I'm almost sure that one wont fit the Z32. Ken

Thank you very much for your reply Dan. Yep, I would like to have those moving clocks and gauges, but I would also like more accurate information needed when there is something wrong with the car. Is it possible to modify the ConZult software, or get some software which could output some sort of gauges you could have there just looking nice? I read somewhere that all Serial -> USB converters wont work with the ConZult, do you ship converters or dedicated USB cables for the ConZult which works with it? Ken

Not sure about the Blatz, but ConZult's minimum requirements is 166mHz...

There doesn’t seem to be any information about the required system specifications, just that it needs WIN98,ME,2K or XP. You can get the Blatz cable in dedicated USB too, costs about 15USD more than RS232 (Serial). :)

Thanks Legrath, the 'Datascan' seem to be a lot cheaper than the ConZult as its only 115USD (ConZult about 400USD). Is there a big difference between these two, if I buy a ConZult,can I use the Datascan software? They seem to be able to output all the same things, I wonder what makes the price difference. the Datascan seem to only be a cable with a Consult connector and a USB/Serial connector, while the ConZult have some kind of hardware between. What do I need to get the information about the car outputted to a computer as Legrath has done here? I know its called the ConZult, but are there many hardware and software versions of it? I found this on the TTZ Performance website, but it doesn’t seem to have an output which looks like Legrath's. The one on that website seem to cost 600 Australian dollars (~360€), are they all in that price-class? Oh, and if anyone know of anyone in GB/Europe who sells them, please post up a link :) Ken
