  1. Hi all, I have a block that I purchased some time ago, but unsure of the year of vehicle that it came out of. The serial number is VG30 048929 N Does anyone know if there is a reference site where you can date the engine just from the serial number? Many thanks in advance :-)
  2. One and a half tanks of fuel then
  3. Hi, don't know if this is an appropriate post, but wondering what my Zed is worth before posting it up for sale in the Classified section? Have been shafted on ebay by non-paying bidders twice now, so thought I would try it on here where there are people genuinely interested in these cars. 1991 NISSAN FAIRLADY 300ZX Z32 3.0L N/A AUTO 2+2 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1991-NISSAN-FAIRLADY-300ZX-Z32-3-0L-N-A-AUTO-2-2-/131882364514?hash=item1eb4cd2e62:g:q9wAAOSwtnpXmc3~ Any input would be gratefully received. PS, This isn't an ad, I'm just asking the question!!
  4. Hi all I purchased this as a 'just in case' buy some time ago but it is now taking up valuable room. It's a 1992 with 70k on it. Engine and box still together as one lump. This isn't an advert, just looking for some guidance as to how much to put it on for sale at. Any replies would be much appreciated. :-)
  5. That diagram makes sense. Thanks for your help!
  6. All set to fit my Apexi on a N/A auto, and am confused as to what to do with the original pipework. I was all set to cap the pipework on either side where it used to fit into the air box, but upon investigation it looks like there is a branch off of these intake pipes that goes directly into the pipework AFTER the airbox. As I see this, it appears that fresh, unfiltered air is by-passing the airfilter. Is this correct or am I just have a blonde day (or week?). Anyway's, what the heck should I do with the original pipework if anything?
  7. Excellent! colin-johnston@hotmail.com
  8. Thanks Dan, appreciate you letting me know.
  9. Cheers, I'll have that if it is still available. Unable to reply to your thread for some reason.
  10. I get a vBulletin message saying that I do not have permission to access the page.
  11. Exactly what I was after! Can't seem to be able to send him a reply tho :-(
  12. Any suggestions where I might get pipework to allow a double induction kit to be fitted in place of the standard air box? Had seen a supplier of one previously, but afraid my memory lets me down these days :-)
  13. Hi there. I'm after the main wiring loom that connects everywhere on the engine. Mine was butchered by a make-believe mechanic, and all of the connectors/clips have been damaged. If you can supply one with connectors still intact and have the spring clips please let me know how much you would want for it. Many thanks, Colin. 1992 TT import 2+2
  14. Noticed you were Aberdeen based, and wondered if you could help. I need a competent mechanic to refit a replacement engine after the original one was butchered by an idiot cowboy. If you know of oneone locally who would be capable, perhaps you could give me a call. Many thanks, Colin. 07774 674268
  15. I'm after an engine for my 1992 TT auto import. Can anyone offer something decent at a sensible price?
  16. My 1992 T/T import requires a pair of heads. (Or may consider complete engine). Any help much appreciated.
  17. Believe the cylinder heads are knackered (or so I'm told) and in need of general overhaul. Just don't want to put it to someone who hasen't worked on one before.
  18. Yes that was me! I picked it up from Forfar and trailered it home on Saturday night. Just want someone to fix it now so I can go out out and have some fun. Know anyone reliable?
  19. I desparately need someone reasonably local (I'm near Turriff) to look at my Zed. Its been with a cowboy for the last 6 months believe it or not and he's totally screwed it up. If you know of anyone experienced with these cars please let me know. Many thanks, Colin.
  20. Excuse the ignorance, is Mike Feeny a member here or a Trader. I'm looking for a boss too. Thanks, Colin.
  21. Hi, Just sent payment via bank transfer. Didn't give me the opportunity to put in my username. Account no is 73994760 for reference.
  22. Hi Guys, Just recently got my 91 TT Auto and am looking to install an induction kit. I'm just after the nice slurping sound, not really looking for any performance gain (as its fast enough already!) I've read some threads here about moisture problems and damage to the maf with the wrong kits. Any suggestions as to what I should put in as I don't want to cause any damage by fitting something cr@p. Look forward to any replies. Thanks
  23. A p.s. to the last post. Why can't I reply to the ads in the parts for sale section?
  24. If I go out now the neighbours will probably shoot me! (If thay can catch me that is!)
