Automatic tansmission problems
Hi 300zx_666 This is my first Z it came as a P/X and I have quickly fallen for it (ZX's) cant believe the drive for an old car. and yes I have thought of a manual, actually quite quickly as after the first drive of this thing, I thought I need to have a manual as i like to be in control. so hopefully, after sorting this one out abd getting rid , I will be looking for a TT manual.

Hi Gary Halfords did drain but did not change/clean the filter. An auto electricain has asked me to take it back to Halfords and ask them to drain it and change the filter before going to the wring route. thanks for the reply. much appreciated

Automatic tansmission problems
Hi Guys New to this so bare with me guys !!! NEW to Forums NEW to ZX's (But LOVE these cars already) Please help if you can. I have a 1992 non turbo, when purchased it used to change gears quite hard (just the 1st to the 2nd) and would only change at about 3000rpm. had the transmission oil changed and the Halfords machanic put too much in it. but the car was still doing the same. took it to Zedworld (great guy) advised me to have the loom check by an auto-elecrician and get rid of some oil. But due to work being so busy I have not had the time to do anything. So the ZX was parked up for a week, but I took it out yesterday, and found that the dam thing will not change gear until it goes to just over 5000rpm. I let it warm up and still was not having any of it. Does anybody have an idea? or am I thinking the Autotransmission Gear box had it. Do I need a new gear box? Where can i get one from? any help would be much appreciated.
