  2. as above ive aquired some spares from a mate who removed them all from a crashed import tt... this car came from japan with these parts fitted!!!! these are now on my car and has made quite a bit of difference to the way it drives a pair of Arc intercoolers an Arc airbox chipped ecu (which has a genuine nissan remanufactured ecu plaque ( 2371M41P14... A18-000MC9K... 5919 )on it. on inspection of the internals between the this ecu and the one i removed from my car, the small board that sits inside is totally different to the chipped ecu we removed from the car.also the chip has a red led incorporated in it)?????
  3. Yes i see it.. Surprised the bonnet still shuts tho with having it there.. Lol Going to fit mine in the nose cone area today as me new silicone hose arrived this morning:)

  5. One more question.. Lol As there isnt no room in the engine bay for this huge soleniod would it be ok to fit it in the nose cone?? I know all hoses have to be the same length but would it cause any issues with the hoses being that long??

  7. Hi. And before you all say search search search.. Lol Ive sprent most of the day trying to find an idiots guide to intalling one Ive had this controller sat in my shed since i blew up my gto many years ago so thought id give it a new home in the 300 instead of the boost jet and mbc options. Now my question is on the solenoid it has 2 connections: 1 says in 2 says out Which one goes to the t'd of actuator hose in or out? Then i presume the other must go to the t'd ic pipe feed?? Also on the back of the controller there is a vac hose with a filter on it, Does this go to the aftermarket boost guage?? For the life of me i cant remember and aint finding much help with this spec version on a 300zx Any help would be greatly appreciated:)
  8. is there any difference between the jdm autobox ecu and a uk spec autobox ecu? can they cause any issues with gear changeing??? has anyone fitted the hks alc and are there any benefits or can they shorten the life of the auto box

  10. as above ive seen some zx's with some panels under the bonnet that seem to fit around the back of the engine bay? anyone know what there called so i can start searching for some??
  11. Well. Been all over every hose associated with boost and intake and found nothing wrong. All clips nice and tight.. Will be checking for fault codes tomorow but as ive removed the stock boost solenoids im unsure ifit would be in safe boost mode?? Also im going to removed the stock metal y-pipes and just have 1 hose from actuator and ill T into that for the mbc.. Was told earlier that i need 2 mbc's for it to work?? Cant see why 2 mbc wouldnt work both but thought id just ask??
  12. forgot to mention that ive removed the stock solenoids and fitted the hose from the mbc where the stock solenoid piped up to the y-piece from the actuator.. is this correct???? or would i be better to remove the factory y-piece and just T into the pipe from the actuator??? did a little fact finding on the internet but lots of it just didnt make sense..lol.. must be getting old or something:)
  13. hi all... quick question.... after sorting out my blown turbos the cars been a hoot to drive but yesterday we fitted an mbc to increase to boost a little.. was hoping for 12-13 psi but it seems itll only boost to 9 psi.. no matter what we do,have checked for boost leaks and cant find any so was wondering if anyone else has any ideas as to what could be wrong?????

  16. Its all blowing of fine now. I did put the dumpys in the wrong place.. Lol guess thats what happens when you are doing multiple jobs at the same time:)
  17. did both turbos with out taking the engine out or lifting it...... am i good?? only had 1 stud snap on the elbow but had a spare but sooooo many injuries to my hands lol had the car up and running today, went for a test and i got boooost..lol only boosting to around 6 psi but ill be looking at that tomozz. think i mite have put the baileys and the bungs in the wrong places as it doesnt seem to blow of..pistons open and close but no woooosh.ill swap them over tomorrow:) but damm they do boost hard..wasnt expecting it to take off like it did.. the passenger turbo we removed 1st looks like a recon unit,never seen a turbo with that little play in it!!! thatll do as a spare.lol had to remove the aircon fan to make way for the ARC airbox so decided to remove the rest as it didnt work that well anyway. should allow some more airflow to the rad:) is there any difference between a h shape centre section and a x type?? mine has an x shape centre section with no cats straight to the rear boxs but its not loud enough (well for me) lol couple of picks from todays antics think the baileysare in the wrong place???
  18. Driverside turbo was seized solid.. Both turbos now replaced.. Just got to get a broken stud removed from the drivers side turbo elbow then the car should be back on the road:) Looking forward to finally driving this thing as it should be ( turbo not n/a ) lmao
  19. Bit of an update.. Removed passenger turbo and its fine. No damage, splindle and blades all fine and spins freely so its not that turbo.. Was expecting to find something wrong with it:) Now im baffled, will start on drivers side turbo today and hope that one is fine!! Dont make sense... If passenger turbo is fine then why wont it boost?? Surly it has to boost if theres nothing wrong???
  20. Its pretty obvious it has to have dead turbo or turbo's so mite as well go all the way:)
  21. Well.. Got it all back together and its runs soo sweet BUT. still no boost.. After all the things we fount wrong we thought it would ov been sorted but hey... Will pull it all to bits tomorrow and start again, i know its gona be a horrid job to replace the turbos, but itll be worth it in the end.. Bit miffed today so going for a long soak in the bath and chill till tomorrow

  23. been at it today and: removed stock airfilter box, pipes and plastics to make was for the ARC airbox removed radiator, coolent pipes and the 2 silver pipes from the block and found my water leak removed recircs,full of oil and replaced with dv29 baileys removed both accordian hoses left side had a hold and the right side that wasnt even connected to the ic was split at the turbo end removed intercoolers.pas side was fine but drivers side had lots of oil in it and replaced with a pair of ARC intercoolers checked engine oil level and was a long way past the full mark which is making me think this is were the oil has come from,drain and refill with new filter checked trans oil and that is half way up the dipstick so thats gona get drained out and refilled to the proper level stripped old loom of to make way for its replacement found the knock sensor loom was not looking healthy so replaced knock sensor and loom found the driverside o2 sensor wasnt even connected due to broken plug,replaced plug did the water bypass mod from under the plenum also removed old egr system and fitted the egr delete kit new pcv hose kit and all the other hoses that we dont have spare ordered and should be here tomorrow inc the plenum gasket new platinums fitted pik of pass accordian hose turbo end checked ecu to make sure it was modified to back up the history.opened it and yes its chipped:) and on the lid we found looking forward to tommorow when we can start re-assembling and hopefully should have it back on the road by the weekend:)
  24. Thanks checking the blades will be a tomoro job. Ordering all the hoses tomorow morning and also removing the plenum water system.. Luckily i got a freind helping who has already done all this to his cars so all looking well. Ive worked on quite a variety of jap engines over the years and to date i still have nightmares were the gto-tt's are concerned.. Lol So far the 300zx-tt is challenging but not impossible:)
