  1. Thanks for all the warm welcome guys, i've been a bit MIA dealing with life but hope to be around more. MY Z's just finishing an engine refresh so a nice long drive should be one the cards after what seems like an eternity not driving it. Lol yeah we are blessed with nice whether, even as it's winter here we still have some warmish sunny days & yeah not too much worry about rust, jus killer potholes. Always good to hang with Z people on the weekends, and as there aren't many great Z mechanics we sorta learn as we go along
  2. Lol indeed there are not many of us in Zim, hearsay puts total number of cars in the whole country probably under 40 and those is in Harare i think i've met all the owners, we do have a little club going and meet up whenever possible. Getting on forums like this or aus300zx.com are the most reliable ways for us to get info and source parts. But it's nice to have such a beautiful and rare car (except when something goes wrong of course lol). So the story in pictures... First i can ever remember seeing when i was in Oz Note the dismal '05 cellphone camera quality She sat in a carsales that i drove past everyday on the way to work, window price said $8k (had started at 9k and i got her at 7k incl taxes) She's pretty stock, except for the now highflow'd turbos, de-cat exhaust and the wheels. Z meet from last year november Another meet up, Feb this year, my car had engine out at this point to fit the rebuilt turbos. interesting fact: 4 of the nissans in this pic belong to one family! Thats a hopefully not to long intro into some of the Z life here in Zimbabwe, slowly getting all the "injured" cars up and running again and hopefully taking some nice long cruises with the other guys whenever possible
  3. Hi all, Just joined this forum to add to the many others i've learnt from so far. First fell in love with the 300zx whilst studying in australia years ago and managed to finally buy my first 4 years ago, its been a wonderful cocktail of joy and pain but all part of the Z experience i wouldn't change. Hope to learn all that i can here, will post pics soon Cheers
