hahahaa... yeah... seen the insides of a few of those! still - I think the CA is a very underated engine with a bit of a poor rep. mine had 150K before it blew the headgasket and its probably still going after the rebuild. My sr20 melted at 60K with no mods and stock boost, 2nd engine spun a shell.. still bet its a fair bit cheaper (and easier) to rebuild than a V6!

yep! had to buy a new battery to get it started, dropped it round to the MOT dude, all it needed was new tyres, disks and pads - which it kinda needs again after the track day... I'm well impressed with it as well - everyone said the engine was going to turn inside out. Looks like my buying skills of getting drunk and buying something on ebay I've never seen before works well!!

cheers guys.. Yeah there's a few things that need sorting on it chassis seems solid, except the rust I can't see, yet... I've had quite a few 200sx's so I'm assuming the 300 rots in the same way back of the sills etc... engine seems good, idles well, starts first time (even after 2 years of sitting) pull well, power seems good - sound lush! It drove 270 miles to croft, ragged it for the day and drove back and didn't miss a beat - I honestly thought it'd be coming back on a trunk But there's a few niggles - mostly electrics - headlights mysteriously disappear intermittently when going from high to low beam - think its the relay (anyone got one for sale?) - when the headlights do work, they're absolutely CRAP - going to clean/polish the lights and reseal them( the offside one is like an aquarium at the moment..) , but what options to I have with brighter bulbs etc? - alarm doesn't work - going to rip it out tho, so thats fine - rear nearside wheel bearing is making an interesting noise, take it they're fairly easy to get? any difficultly with it being an import for parts? - the brakes were "interesting" on the trackday, faded completely and had smoke pouring off them - so again, what options are there? - when I press really hard on the brakes now there's a hideous grinding noise from under the bonnet.. the sort of noise that you usually go, "yeah it'll be fine don't worry about it..." apart from that, its not bad for a 20year old datsun!

Hello All, About 2 years ago I got drunk one evening and bought a NA manual Z32 on ebay for the laugh (at least it seemed at the time).. Didn't really know what to do with it, so it basically been sat in the garage until last weekend when I drove it up to croft and ragged it around a bit.. http://www.motorsportinfocus.co.uk/Javelin%20Croft%2001.12.14/album/ - some pics here under the "Dark Blue SWP" link on the left hand side - can't seem to post direct link. Yeah, that was pretty good fun.. But now I still don't know what to do with it - so I've chucked it back in the garage, hopefully not for another 2 years! So, any suggestions on what I should do with it?? :-D
