  1. No comparison between 130 and 131 ..... totally different cars I had a neighbour once with a 131 ... it looked good and made a nice noise. Good luck if you are looking for one
  2. Yes ... rare and pretty. If it was a 130 you should have bought it. Carandclassic have a saloon on for £8k right now, but the coupe is way cooler.
  3. I live close to several exotic brand garages (Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, McLaren), so I see my fair share of the latest ballistics ... but I do appreciate classic sports cars. Norfolk was great for that. Unfotunately, we just arrived home .... and it is raining.
  4. I'm having a few days in Norfolk with my wife. We're pottering around in the Cromer/Norwich area - an area of low population density and pleasantly small/quiet roads (as most of the holiday makers have gone home). But there are some seriously desirable cars here. In the last few days I have seen - an Aston Martin Lagonda (the big 4-door) - a super rare FIAT 130 Coupe - a Stag and an XJS convertible on the same drive (me jealous ? ..... don't be silly) - numerous classic Porches - several project cars. I had never seen a Great Wall until yesterday. I will never underestimate Norfolk again ... these guys have style. Anybody on this forum from Norfolk ? I take my hat off to you. The proportion of desirable cars on your roads seems to be unusually high (maybe not the Great Wall though ;-) Kelvin
  5. Jeff Thanks for the time you and your colleague gave me yesterday. I learnt a lot about these lovely cars Kelvin
  6. Thanks Jeff I'll drop in between 3pm and 4pm this Tuesday (25th). I have to go to the dentist that day ... so I'll come over and look at some cars to cheer myself up ! Cheers Kelvin Also ... thanks guys for the welcomes
  7. Hi Jeff That would be really helpful .... thanks. If we buy a z, it (probably) won't be until the new year; but it would be good to look at a couple to see if the z is for us - how big the back seats are, what the targa tops are like, how (if) they stow in the boot etc. Would it be ok to drop in next week to have a look at one ? or maybe you could let me know when you have a 2+2 targa in. Thanks Kelvin
  8. Hello everyone ... I am a newbie (today). My wife and I enjoy our cars. We run a BMW Z3M Coupe which we love, but we do most of our mileage in an old straight six Volvo S80 (automatic, LPG converted). The old Volvo does most things very well, and returns a cost equivalent of 45 mpg, so it is a fine car. My wife finds the Z3 clutch/gearbox a bit heavy, and I fancy a targa top. So we're looking at maybe trying to find a good 300zx automatic targa top. A turbo engine isn't important (the Z3 provides all that is needed in the oomph department). A zx seems - on paper - to offer what we want ... a bit of space inside, a smooth ride and targa tops .... and it is a really handsome car ! Looking forward to learning about these cars and benefitting from all your experience on this forum.
