  1. Christ, I couldn't make mine for that! Ahh well.
  2. Hmm, I counted 12, a bit of disagreement and then silence ;) Looking at the link that phutumsch quoted, it seems that chap had to link up 3 relays just to make the mirrors fold out when the engine was off. I provided a way to do that just by adding a switch to the main supply for my unit. I thought that was fairly elegant. If I've been a little hasty in cancelling this, then I apologise, but the tone of this page of the thread seemed to indicate that it was going nowhere... I don't sell these individually as they're a ball-ache to make, frankly. Hence the GB so it was worth it.
  3. This thread seems to have died. Shame really, the other forums that I did this GB on thought it was a nice idea and were very happy with what I supplied. You can't please everyone I suppose ;) Offer withdrawn / GB cancelled.
  4. My way is simple and effective, contained in a small, shock- & moisture-proof enclosure which can be hidden under the switch. The mirrors can be folded in with the switch whilst the ignition is on or left in full auto mode and folded in/out with the ignition. I'm happy with the way my module operates. I'm not changing it ;) If you would like to do something different, please feel free to develop your own solution to Nissan's oversight.
  5. Read my post above ;) It's quite possible and easy to override the auto function. I've been using my original prototype in various cars for about 5 years now and wouldn't be without one.
  6. Blame Nissan for their short-sightedness. The way they've wired the switch up precludes operation in this manner. That's the only way I can get it to work. You could, however, add a switch on the permanent live wire to override the module's operation when the ignition was off. This would stop the mirrors folding in until your added switch was turned off and the auto feature would resume. It should be noted that, again thanks to Nissan, the mirrors will fold out with the 'Accessory' position of the ignition key as well as 'On'.
  7. Mirror switch ‘IN’ – The mirrors fold in and stay in with ignition on or off. Mirror switch ‘NEUTRAL’ - The mirrors fold in and stay in with ignition on or off. Mirror switch ‘OUT’ – The mirrors will fold in and out automatically when switching the ignition off and on.
  8. Hi all I'm the guy that makes these modules. I've just recently run a successful GB on the Pulsar GTiR Owner's Club and the GTR Register had these in their club shop until recently too (I made a limited run for them). All Nissan's of a certain age share the same switchgear. Fitting is simple, all the connections are made on the back of the switch except for one permanent live (radio/hazzards/etc) that needs to be run to the unit. If there are any questions, I'll subscribe to this thread and keep an eye on it. If there are at least 20 interested parties, I'll pay my membership dues and create a 'proper' GB thread (with Groover's blessing).
