No, exhaust s standard apart from mongoose cat back, you think change turbos, everything else has been done , block heads ect,

Throttle body's are immaculate, pulled plenum and excessive oil in center inlets, front pcv hoses don't ave restrictors in for some reason. Think this could be the cause, Smoke is very temperamental but when it smoke it smokes, started first when at traffic lights on tickover, seems to go at full throttle,

Also removed mongoose system, for sale on eBay , only done a couple of thousand miles, after noisy back boxes if any around

Hi, I've got a 1990 tt Problem Oil in plenum , throttle body's clean, New pcv valves and side and rear hoses all with restrictors in Two front hoses to cam covers no restrictors could this be my smoking issue smelly smoke intermittent

I put 5w40 full synth in mine and it started smoking, oil was too thin causing it to push thru pcv system, so changed to semi 10w40 and 50 miles later all is good, I used 540 because of new bottom end but you must remember other oil fed parts are still old in my case turbos and various other comps, so stick with 1040 or 1540 you cannot go wrong.

500bhp standard radiator front grill lower blocked by number plate, must boil up a bit! Caution needed don't drive it for more than 5 mins or it will cook!

I stripped mine cleaned lenses , repainted inside due to someone else doing it at some point, and fitted hid kit, massive improvement.

I have exactly the same problem, blue smoke on tick over from time to time, from one exhaust, only started when I changed the oil to fully synth 5w40 , new pcv pipes and valves fitted still the same, I'm going to try semi oil slightly thicker, I think the fully synth is bad for the turbo seals on old turbos, if you get to the bottom of this let me know! My friend works for Nissan and is a master tech, he doesn't think it's turbo seals but is unsure where to go next, he thinks pcv system or wrong oil.

I think I had code 21, it was the fuel temp sensor on the fuel rail, it's just a spade connector, but this wouldn't stop it starting or running.

I've just taken iridiums out after 200 miles and put platinum in, seems better.

removed the side skirts and rear under bumper part, looks nicer standard sills ect, hope to replace front bumper at some point with a sleeker one, but unfortunatley short of cash and just lost 2 injectors so the plenum is off again, gives me a chance to paint up some more parts thou.
