I got to agree with andy there. Altho' Diesel prices have gone mad you still get better milage over any petrol engine (of similar size). My work Astravan cost me about £15 to south London and back (aprox' 160 miles) My motorbike costs me over £20 to do about the same... Frightened to calculate the ZED????

Mind you that stuff is well sticky and might well prove difficult to get out mate. It was ok to use in the old days in cortinas and the like but PHEWW! a complicated engine like the ZX is a no no. But you already know that by now. SOZ. you could do worse so I would follow Chris' advice and first try and get the sh1t out bud.

I have got a MG ZT 190+ but its going back to the finance company next month PCP agreement see. I use an Astravan to get to work and as you said the cost of diesel is a p155 take mate. Cameras went the same way if you think back? then they introduced the "yellow" cameras giving us a chance to allow us to believe it WAS indeed for safety. When they did my MG ZT finished in "Anthracite" the bloke who turned up (at my house) to do it said the colour was made up of about 20 odd different colours and he sat in he's van and mixed them up while I watched. V.interesting indeed.

OK I stand corrected Craig. Sorry but when I got my ZED I got it with a V6 Nissan engine. I think the V8 is a good idea if it gives you more power but in effect its cheating? running a stock engine with custom parts added to increase power isnt cheating. Dont get all humpy Paul FFS mate. Heres how I see it the thread is about getting more BHP out of the Nissan Engine. Replacing it with another more powerful V8 (non Nissan) is not getting more out of the engine its getting more out of another engine. So putting better components is improving what you got. I have the TOM TOM with my Ipaq and thats good enough as I get the Camera database with it. I'm pleased.
