Just recently started to trace my family tree/ancestory. well I never imagined it would be so bloody hard. I am using the genes reunited site and to be honest its very good. If you have done this already i could do with some CONSTRUCTIVE tips LOL. :p If you are thinking about it good luck mate......... :D I added my wifes mother and father with her mums maiden name (it works better with as many names as you can get) within 2 days I had a message from someone who has her family name and they have been researching for about 2 years now and have traced the family name back to the 1700's WOW! So I am dedicating a bit more time for her at the mo to get her side joined to the already very extensive tree from her distant relations. It sounds boring i spose But believe me its quite interesting.

I fitted an after market steering wheel ages ago with out the hicas Boss. I have been thinking about getting the proper boss (obviously the cheaper option) or go with the whole ellimination thing? what is the general opinion on this mod please. and could those who have done it let me know the avarage costs and benefits. Too true. I went to Bluewater last year and it was very nice.we had about 15 300zx's and we had a nice meal no body did a wheel spin no body thrashed the arse off their car and no one blasted out the neighbourhood with Drum and Bass. I have no idea if it has changed though? Near me is a retail park (the interchange) for about 18 months it was a sunday evening meeting place for a few cars nothing special, but last month I noticed that it was full with about 200 maybe 300 cars mostly revving and spinning with very loud music. Its out of the way thoguh and disturbs no one. Thats the correct place for those kind of do's.

Its statments like this that make the whole debate worthwhile. You can go on and on as we do and nothing gets sorted. Whatever you do (any of you) read the last post before this and take it in. :bow: And then leave the committee alone to do what THEY do best.

Many many moons have past since I owned a Moog. I dont know how many peeps remember them? It was like the synth pictured in Tony's post. Fantastic analogue sounds and I loved the way you could manipulate the frequency to make some really professional effects. Shame I didnt have a clue WTF I was doing..... :xxx: :cry: Now I have decided to keep my Yamaha W7 it is superb the electric guitar voices are almost real especially if you can get the hang of the pitch bend wheel. And you can with the use of the instruction manual get some really rich analogue sounds from it too. In addition to my laptop which has fruity loops and a couple other progs I should be back producing something worth a listen soon. BTW Mick. I know it isnt the same mate but for now you can get quite a few programs for the computer that will mimic the roland or similar for the time being?

Well i hopefully will be able to attend more next year what with me new job and all and I would be very confident in Nicks ability to organise the best meets we could ask for. Yo to Nick. :bow:

Jason is as entitled to hes opinion as is anyone else. If he feels that way there is a reason. But thats the problem. I have had the same. some of you only see what you want to see. You cant have smoke without fire is the saying? If someone/anyone speaks out then there is a reason in there somewhere. Instead of jumping on their backs why not ask why and try to see what they are saying. It wont always look good when posted on a forum we all know that. Dont we? I saw something back in August. Something that didnt ring true on the logical scale (so to speak). It didnt look good when chunk stood down he's NEO job. I thought he loved the job. No one could have done it better and he starts up he's own forum. One must ask why? Nothing wrong with it but still strange all the same? So yes I can see what Jason means and TBH for what ever reasons chunk did what he did it was always going to conflict with this forum one day. That day looks like it might be upon us now??? Thanks chaps much appreciated. I will stay in contact Pete and drop in when I go up north buddy. The job needs a 10 week conversion course and then I will back on nights. By then I think I will ready. But yes I am looking forward to having a job 35 hours per week instead of 54 with all the benefits of a proper job and not contracting like I have been fo almost two years.

...... I start my new job on Monday with the London Underground. Looking forward to the change and I wont miss the fookin M6 I can assure you. The money aint as good but the benefits greatly outweigh the loss of cash. I will survive. ....................No I didnt did I? Never mind I have now. :cool:
