respray costs
It's cheaper to buy another zed, in any colour you want, then swap over any trim bits your prefer from your first car & sell off the original ?

What's my car worth?
I have seen several nice looking 300zx go for less than £1,200, over the last few months. I think what we want to sell for and what someone will actually pay, are quite far apart. Prices appear to be low and staying there. I wish it were otherwise. Tim

Air today, gone tomorrow!
Having spent about £1,000 on new Air Con parts (and fitting) last Autumn, so solve my gas leak, I now find myself back where I started. I suspected this in Jan/Feb, but can now do a proper test, on these lovely warm spring days. Has anyone got a good tip of how I can stop the system leaking ?, without replacing a load of expensive parts and getting nowhere ? Is there a magic gas that A/C companies can put in & seal the gaps ? Thanks, Tim

To AC or Not to AC that is the Question ...
Roof off won't help you with high humidity. A/C is absolute must have.

Black to Chrome ?
Some Z32 cars, like mine, have the worn out black covering removed, to reveal a lovely polished aluminium finish, on the windscreen & targa roof side strips. I think this looks great & more in keeping with today's look. Now, has anyone done this to the black & rubber strips, under each side window ? Again, I think this could look very cool. Many new cars, like the Jaguar XJ, have this look. What do you guys think ? Tim

How to remove Boot strus for trim removal
I’m not a great DIY person, but in my quest to remove my "table top" spoiler on my 93 zed, I need to remove the plastic internal side boot lid trims, but before I can do this, I believe I need to remove the hydraulic strut arms ? I don’t want to guess at how to do this and beak anything. Does anyone know the procedure to remove these arms ? I know spoiler removal has been covered before, but it always seems to be for the earlier glued on version Thanks, Tim

New Zed owner
Thanks guys. My spoiler is standard Nissan Fairlady for that year (actually 93) and not super huge Joe 90 version. Car is in paint shop & service bay at the moment (rust at top of windscreen plus dented wing). Do I take it that all you Z owners without spoiler, took them off the hard way, or can you buy used tailgates without ? Oh, yes, the front window trim that extends over the targa roof, has lost black coating. Is this common & is there an easy fix, or scrape it off for a chrome look ? Thank

Hi, I now have a 94 imported 300ZX in Sapphire Blue. I can't believe I’ve waited so long to get one, since I admired the cars way back in the early 90’s Anyway, my "just needs a re-gas" on the a/c has turned out to be about £850 new parts (eek!). Just wondering how many others out there have good working a/c, or have many just not bothered to have it fixed ? Also, is it me, or are the rear spoilers now out of fashion ? I notice quite a few cars no longer have a spoiler. Are they easy to remove, or does this mean welding up hole & total re-paint ? Finally, I have ended up with a blue car (same as the one in the first Kill Bill film), but really wanted yellow. Is yellow cool ? (looks very good on the zed to me!), or are most people out there anti yellow ? Just wondered! Oh, I have read the website rules! Cheers, Tim :sweatdrop:
