Z1 customer loyalty
Thats ok if you can pull the engine yourself. If left to a garage the $500 wont go far towards a £1k pull/refit. Glad your happy with the result anyway mate :)

boost controller set-up.
And these are the setting I used LO - Set 36%, Gain 29%, Set Gain 75, Warn 150, L 0 HI - Set 45%, Gain 30%, Set Gain 108, Warn 166, L 0 Lo = 15psi Hi = 17psi so be careful Its also worth saying that all cars are different so build up the boost slowly and keep an eye on the pressure. Listen for dett too whilst trying these settings

Boost leak
Engine has never been out so it will still be nissan OE spec hoses and clips. Is it likely to be the clip thats failed and not the hose itself? Hope to have a better look at the weekend.

Boost leak
I've noticed over the last few months that I am not boosting as high as normal and I can hear air whooshing when under boost. So I did a boost leak check and this is where its coming from. Anyone know how on earth Im gonna get to it?? Also what size it? I presume I can replace it with silicone hose?

RAID set up
I didnt mention raid 5 & 1+0 because he's only got 2 drives :)
-
RAID set up
In theory they will be twice as fast in a RAID 0 configuration because you have twice as many heads, read/write buffer etc. However, I think the data bus on your MOBO will be the bottle neck. Also the way data is written to the drives (striped) means that as one block of data has finished reading from the drive the second drive is prep'd ready to read the next block. If you are installing your OS onto the array then i would suggest RAID 0. If you need loads of storage then I would suggest RAID 0 or leave them seperate. If you have really important data and dont want to loose it the RAID 1 is for you. Hope this helps chris.

RAID set up
Basically RAID 0 (stripe) will give you 1TB of HDD space and is good for speed. RAID 1 (mirror) will give you 500Gb of HDD space and is good if one of the drives was to go faulty. RAID 0 is definately faster mate + the advantage of the extra storage. Only problem is that if 1 of the 2 HDD fail in the array you will loose all data! You can partition the drive AFTER you have built the RAID Array. Pete
