my car used to smoke a lot on idle and then i changed oil to castrol edge 5w40 fully synthetic and now it smokes just a bit and only till it gets to full temp

i got original 99 spec front bumper it`s plastic and not a fibre glass copy. the question is do i need to modify anything or is it direct fit ? should i trial fit it and then paint it ?
