  1. Sad , sad day, loved his tv shows and i always read his page in classic car magazine. RIP QUENTIN.
  2. I bought 40210 33p07 from amayama these are 42mm inner diameter. But spare hub was 38mm so no good , but at least I now know that when I change I can use my existing hub and they should be okay in new bearings. Every day is a learning day Thanks Andrew
  3. Thanks Andrew very informative, I bought a spare knuckle took bearing out put new bearing in to find bearing is to big for hub shaft. i can only assume the spare came off a Japanese car which have the 38mm inner, And mine being a UK spec tt must have a 42mm. Won't know until I take it apart. Very confusing especially when I looked on z centre and theirs are 46mm. It does seem to be awkward buying parts for UK spec cars. I will keep everyone up to date when I start refurbishment. Many thanks again Andrew you are a star.
  4. Hi, can anyone tell me which cars have wheel bearings with 38mm dia inner, 42mm inner dia, and 46mm inner ? Bought 2nd hand hub with 38mm on But bearing from amayama are all 42mm Z centre state 46mm Totally confused cos I thought all were same size. Look forward to any help.
  5. I bought and fitted aluminium one piece shaft from CZP and i had it filled to stop vibrations , think it was about £400 shaft, filling and carriage. Had no problems with it , On for about eight years now.
  6. Good point, hopefully okay. Just renewed brake pipes to bmc. Next week will reseal bmc and put back in car. Sad but i actually like repairing faults.
  7. Many thanks for having a look into this and i will try your method of searching.
  8. Just wondering is it possible to have a nice link somewhere to JEFFTT advice to make it easier. Jefftt has some great posts always worth checking out . Just a thought though. Great site for info anyways.
  9. Sorry for bringing this up now, putting you to a lot of trouble. However the first link i mentioned was found when i was searching in standard members general discussions 300zx Jefftt was repling to SALIC SEPT 17 2018 under Advice for locating parts page 3
  10. Many thanks Andrew, did not want to prise it off before i knew something about it. I bought seal kit but no end stopper, hopefully it doesn't get damaged. But now i know i can get full refurb kit at a high price it seems! Cant believe the price on z centre Just looked and it is £145 plus £29 vat plus postageusually ££20 from zcentre total near £200 Fingers and toes crossed no damage. Thanks again subs have been repayed yet again , great club .
  11. 185608 jeffs tech help is on my link, and yes it stopped after change over. However other links like the one in my first post dont work neither ! Presumably a lot of links on past posts no longer work ! Jeffs tech page was very useful it had lists of jobs he had done write ups about with links.
  12. On old style setup i used to have link to jefftt tech help page but that no longer works as well.
  13. Can anyone explain how to take SNAP RING off end of bmc ? And can it be reused afterwards ?
  14. Sorry put in wrong section. Will try technical questions and answers.
