As above. Only reason you should sell is if you dont want a 300zx anymore. Service it, drive it for the summer, do the manual conversion later, not the winter, coz its a pain in the arse taking the enigine out your zed in the snow, and having to push it in the snow, sliding around in the snow! (Thats what i did!). Do it End of september or March! Then see how you feel about it, if you still want to sell, do it this time next year. Petrol prices will be £2 a litre by then..

Sandyz was on hand for me too when i found a zed i wanted to look at. Top man..

Im not going to do it lightly, and if the engine is dead, breaking wont get me that much back. Im going to drive it, compression test it, and get it on a ramp. It passed an mot, but i didn't get under the car to look for rot. Problem is, if i rebuild my spare engine, i will want top spec and it will cost thousands. Just sold a good engine and turbos!!!! Doh!

Well, im at a point now with my zed that i thought i'd be close to finishing it and enjoying the summer, but its not to be.. After getting it all up and running, mot'd and taxed, its smoking.. Changed the pcv valves and its still smoking. The turbos were rebuilt before fitting them, but the engine was secondhand. Ive spoken to a few people, (inc Jeff and Jamie) and piston rings sound like a possibility. Thats no small job, and with it needing a respray and the interior tidying, should i stop now and buy a ready built zed??
