MONDAY 4TH JUNE 2012 AT 7.00PM (BANK HOLIDAY) This is open to all Japanese car owners all over the midlands who just want to meet up once a month with thier mates on a Monday evening, share a bit of banter, chat about their cars, check out some rides and have a laugh. 10 Mins from J2 off the M5 and 20 mins from Birmingham City Centre, biggest JAP meet in the Midlands. Location: Flood street car park, Flood Street, Dudley, West Midlands, DY2 8NT Starts from 7pm on bank holiday Monday 4th June 2012. PLEASE be aware that this a JAP car only meet, It is know to the police that meets are held around here, so lets keep it clean guys as they do pop round now and again SO NO STUPID ANTICS INSIDE THE CAR PARK AREA!!!! do not draw attention to yourselves!!! no messing around (Revving, Hand braking, wheel spins, loud tunes, please NO STUPIDITY in the car park). No worries Jeff, I take it from your response you have never attended a TOA meet before, it is not what you think, were all enthusiast's too, not a bunch of chavvy gits that land on a car park blasting our drum & bass whilst eating macdonalds and dropping our litter every where, revving the cars up and nailing it out of the car park so all the cool kids here the big power roar from out 1.4 saxo exhaust. ^^ if that's the impression you have then you defiantly need to attend, you will be pleasantly surprised at how well organised this meet is, the support from the local police, yes the police do pop down now and again, I personally speak to them and are kindly surprised at everyone's extremely good behaviour not only in the car park but whilst exiting. We have never had any complaints from the local residents (I know this for a fact as its a question I have asked the police a few times as we do not to upset the local residents). We enforce clear rules: No chav antics, ie reving, handbraking, burnouts etc, its not cool, the police are aware of the meet and the carpark has cctv so anyone messing around WILL be reported. Finally I can only see that you are speaking from your own personal experience - is this the same experience that of all your Midlands based members on 300zx share or just your final opinion, which resulted in the above edit? The Orient Academy's next official meet will be held on Monday 3rd October, 8pm @ onwards. The meets usually see turnouts of around 60-80 cars and usually 100+ people, all of which are genuine enthusiasts which makes for a friendly, relaxed atmosphere as per any reviews of the meet will tell you. Starting off a few years ago as a honda only meet alot of our members now own FR and AWD cars so there is a constantly growing FR and AWD presence, we strive to show as much of a variety of the japenese car specrum as possible, 'stanced', 'track', 'rat', 'drift', 'grip', 'time attack', 'bosozoku', 'shakotan' etc etc etc, ANY japenese car is welcome. All we ask of anyone attending is to try to make life as easy as possible for us with the police, we know that some cars with straight through exhausts etc are going to be loud but please refrain from any chav antics, ie reving, handbraking, burnouts etc, its not cool, the police are aware of the meet and the carpark has cctv so anyone messing around WILL be reported. Edited for the following reasons Meetings such as this however well organised and monitored ALWAYS have fall out issues, take a look at a the meeting location map below but panned out slightly... now a different picture is revealed, houses, homes and families some less than 800 yards from the meeting point. I speak from experience here having endured 5 years of these exact kind of car meets that set up some 2 miles away from my house are "organised " but at midnight the noise was like they were on my driveway, flipping annoying to say the least, costly to my local police force? YES? let`s not forget the litter issue, the impact on the surrounding road network whilst the 80+ cars descend and leave the area and the fact that some of the cars that turn up will have road legality issues and many driven by the "stigs" mate. Now before anyone thinks I am some kind of old fart who drives a Volvo then think again, I am as enthusiatic a petrol head as the next guy which is one of the reasons I started my own garage business including tuning. But this kind of meet is NOT for me and I personally do not think the 300zx guys in general would attend in any great numbers. Jeff TT

The Orient Academy's BIGGEST MEET coming soon on Monday 1st August 2011 at 8pm. This ones going to be BIG. As most of the regulars know we usually get around 60-80 unique & amazing cars turn out for the monthly event.
