it still drives, its just sluggish as if the turbo aint working properly

the astra ive just got has a small prob, the engine managment light keeps coming on and it gets sluggish, ive disconnected the wastegate solenoid and it drives sluggish and the engine managment light comes on, so ive changed the solenoid with a known good one and it still does it anyone got any ideas on what could cause this

me dad is getting the astra when im done, feel free to fight him for it if you like lol bearing in mind though, he had to show a snap on tools rep how he bent a power bar using just his bar hands on a siezed nut, he bent three power bars that day

here it is my new 2.0 turbo
pmsl, its a supposedly 500bhp evo 8, tis crash damaged and im waiting on the engineers report and vic ceck to see if it can be put back on the road, its only been hit in the side but have to wait to clear the insurance, could take a few months as the guy that hit it is playing funny fookers

yup, astra is mine, 206cc is my mates, roof aint working

one piece prop would help, but you dont want the engine to rev too much, it has a blitz air filter

i think i would maybe opt for some uprated tubs (nothing major) and an engine replacement from jeff did ya get the docs i sent ya

remember though its not bhp that gives you acceleration, it tourque and the engine in ya zed produced 373lbft of torque which is very good, im sure its down to the flywheel and decatt, i would reccomend lightened bottom pulleys, they aint much to buy but will help with the torque

pmsl, i miss it all the time, but when i get rid of the astra i will want that back aswell lol i wont miss it when i have a fire breathing evo lol

get it replaced mate, they are fast enough as is, but remember to tell who ever does the work to keep the flywheel you have as its a lightgened and balanced jobbie do you still like it mate, any regrets????

think he has had one to many, took me a while but im now boss of the house, well second after ourlass lol i still chuckle at your mates face when he said "dog is hooge", then i said "yeah he is one year old soon" he got the shock of his life judging by the look on his face lol he wont stop growing till he is 18 months lol, and is still classed as a puppy
