We just got rid of flippy up lights, Marc sold his (5th!) Ford Probe, hopefully NEVER again lol! BUt I miss my mister two lights. Blimey, not many MX-5s around up this neck of the woods. Imagine everyone who loves em tucks up up for winter!

I can imagine, I know they're not well loved, but I do like em, they're just a bit different. But I was only joking when I posted about the one on eBay, its not what I'm after really - - - Updated - - - I love the look of em but its definitely not in the running for now - didn't realise they were quite such donkeys tho, no wonder they are so cheap!!

They really hold their value the MX-5s don't they? I reckon on my meagre budget, given what you said about rust, if I were to consider one, then a Eunos/Jap import might be a better bet especially as I wouldn't manage to get anything as new as 02-06. An, I have to just say, flippy up lights lol

How many times have I considered an MX-5? Dozens I reckon, and I still haven't test driven one. I reckon I'd love it tho. I loved my MR2s, I do rather like girly two seaters, it has to be said lol. Maybe I'm just like Daffy lol

Ha, I did Bristol to Middlesbrough in just over 3 hours once in my Clio (it was new, years ago tho), but I just thrashed it all the way up (my excuse was I was staying ahead of the weather front that was bringing snow lol) Micras are fab little cars, I even had one of the newer ones as a courtesy car once when Wessex crappy garages messed up my order for said brand new Clio, they gave me the 1.6 sport, I had great fun caning it to Brighton and back lol! But alas my hubby is far too tall and I am buggered if I am the one who always has to drive the bean tin lol!! And I prefer big ones!

Yeah I'd heard about the start up and switch off shenanigans. I'm not serious about getting one really, the price won't stay that low for an 04 plate even if the market has dropped out on these. But they are really pretty cars. I do like Mazdas. If I was after a large family hatch I'd definitely go for one of the new Mazda 6s, they're lovely - - - Updated - - - But much prettier eh Al? ;)

Ha!! I had one 2 years ago! It was ok, one owner from new, fsh, etc, clutch started to go so I got shot, but it saw me through that REALLY bad winter we had with loads of snow, then I got my Glanza. Ahhh Roo, you have no idea how many cars this girl has been through, if it had been men, I'd be called the forum tart lol! Rich was right to take the piss the other day! I'm gonna perhaps try to make it through the next couple of weeks without a car, and search for another Lexus IS200. I LOVED that car, would definitely have another, and we wouldn't have to argue over who got to drive the crap one to work lol!!

A Rangey would be far too big for this purpose anyway, although I'm sure they are fun. As much as I love the idea of going off-roading, I rarely get the chance to spend time with my family these days let alone do fun stuff! I'm not a fan of the Almera if I'm honest, and if the fuel economy is rubbish I'd be better off getting another GS lol! Or an IS200, had a great one of those and it wasn't bad on fuel economy for a 2l and it was a lovely car, nice to drive. Not many about at the moment tho. I'll find sommat eventually, just annoying that I can't even go grocery shopping or to the gym if Marc has the car, and vice versa, and when I start placement again soon it'll be a bigger pain in the ass!

I would usually agree but my Zed and my Lexus were both expensive when new cars and cheap second hand and they were awesome! Not looking for exciting yet its just dreary looking for another boring car lol! The Lancer is a great daily driver but we can't afford a second car on finance so a medium sized to big reliable second car is on the list - but it HAS to be Jap, or at a push, German. ITs so time consuming! Trying to write an assignment and surf for cars, lol

They are great little cars, we've had two of em! But it means its only me who will drive it as Marc at 6'4" has to practically fold himself in half to get in em lol! They are good and plentiful tho, loads around. Also, I have to say I am not a fan of driving small cars, a Golf is about as small as I would want to go. Our Lancer is a great size, I feel much safer in sommat bigger. Will just keep looking. What I really want is another Lexus, wish we'd never sold the GS, it was brill.
