  1. Cheers lads - What a lovely memory of the last time I'll be posting on here - My post being deleted. You could have at least asked me to remove the link if thats what you didnt like. I've been on this web site since it very first started -check my details- so you could at least have been decent about it.
  2. Go to Nissan and buy the replacement kit - they actually cost peanuts.....

if you are in manchester go and see Phil at C&S wood in Astley - he knows all their is to know about Z's and is very friendly - He'll be able to tell you whats worth doing and whats not.
  4. The gas in the Jap system was R12 and so the fittings for the system are slightly different if I remember correctly - other than that its the same.
  5. If anyone is ever tempted to go here for tyres - beware and dont! I took a wheel in and he took off a V spec tyre and put a H spec on and also damaged the paint on my rim - when I confronted him about it he swore blind it was already damaged and tried to blame it on kerbing. This bloke is a liar. I managed to get my money back and the tyre taken off so I'll have to settle for that - should I report him and if so who is best?
  6. Well, you learn something new every day eh!
  7. Well thats exactly what I thought - it was headed as a 300zx z32 maf/mas and I did ask him if it was for a 300zx and he replied with a no - its for a Subaru as he is running more than standard power. I just doubt it will work as its designed for a Nissan by JECS.....Oh well its his choice.
  8. Just sold my MAF on ebay to a Subaru owner.....didnt know they were compatible.....He want to run more power! Anyone know if the subaru will understand the 300zx mas. Only so if he complains then at least I can answer him!!! Ta.
  9. you may not have enough pressure in the system - does the air con pump activate? If not it could be that thats not working.
  10. Code 34 means the det sensor has a problem and will put yo into safety boost, but does not cause detonation. code 34 does not appear when detonation is 'seen' by the sensor, only a failure show this code. you need to look somewhere else - such as boost leaks causing you to run lean.
  11. Be very careful going to Kwik Fit with an Import which still has R12 in it - it MUST be completely de-gassed first, then a special treatment to make any remaining stuff inert plus a bit of oil - then a re-gas... Topping R12 up with R134a is not recommended.
  12. When you say 'Downloading' if you are using P2P software like BitTorrent - you need to limit the upload speed - otherwise you swamp your connection and requests for web pages etc dont get through properly - This is the same for the Download speed - limit it to a set speed. This way theres spare bandwidth for games on the line. For upload - set it to 10k. Download - you will need to see what your max download speed is and decide how much to leave for everyone else!!!
  13. The import uses R12 - now illegal to refill with - there is a direct drop in replacement gas, but its better to have the new valves fitted - the it can be run with the modern stuff and works just as well - I had mine converted by Phil as C&S Wood
  14. I agree with b19rks on this one - someone needs to cut open an OEM one and post the results to see for definate though.
  15. Dont buy conzult off ebay - yu will still have to buy again the license code to make it work - Just go straight to DTA to buy it.
