  1. Saw another white one tonight while walking my dog, going up Reginald Mitchel Way, towards Goldenhill, might have been the same one i saw in town the other week. I live in Tunstall and go through the town twice a day, to and from work, had mine for about 5 years now, probably seen two or three other Z's in all that time, when are the local Z's meeting up then ? I would say meet up Festival Park and show the Corsa, Fiesta brigade a thing or too, but cruising is now an offence.........council knobends.
  2. Saw you going towards Tunstall police station, just by The Wheatsheaf pub, i was in a pearl white one going the opposite way.
  3. When i was 18 my mum and Dad used to have a Nissan Bluebird Harrier ZXI Turbo, when the 300 came out they were invited to the local Nissan dealers for drinks and to have a sit in one, ect, ect, later, when they came home with all the brochures i had a quick look through and could'nt believe what Nissan had created. I badgered my Dad for weeks about how we needed one, but there was no way he was going to spend over £30,000. Ever since that day, i promised myself that i would own one, then 4 years ago i took the plunge, and have never looked back. This is one supercar that lived up to my childhood expectations.
  4. What a silly idea, dog shit is far too soft, house bricks are more likely to maim the tosser. LOL.
  5. I suppose a penis on the forehead, cut here around the neck or love / hate across the knuckles is out of the question then, lol.
  6. A lot of them are gold plated these days, even the cheap ones, and yes you can tell the difference in picture quality, the key is to go for some decent quality ones which will be gold plated anyway, look to spend about £20-£30 for some good ones, or about 10%-15% of your home cinema cost.
  7. You could build a really good quality Lamborghini Diablo replica for £30.000, using the BMW V12 engine mounted in the rear, with a tubular steel spaceframe chassis, the only downside is that you would have to build it yourself to keep within budget. Also because they are a high quality replica, it would be a shame to use it on the track. Other than that i'd have the usual suspects such as a tuned Escort Cossie, Sierra Cossie, Evo, Impreza, Porker 911, Supra Turbo, Honda NSX, you could build a very quick 300 for that sort of money, the list goes on..............
  8. If it were me i'd go for an Ariel Atom, and being an ex biker you would love it, 0-60 in 2.7 secs, 0-100 in 6.8 secs, 8600 RPM Honda V-Tec and 600 BHP per tonne, they handle well, are dead reliable, ok for the road, ace for the track and within your budget, and you don't even need a helmet. Oh and they also do an Atom 500 V8 with about 1000 BHP per tonne, though that may be to expensive for you.
  9. Tett Hamilton are my insurers, 36 years old, clean licence, J spec twin turbo = £370
  10. Ay up Danny, Mikeanics Motorsport in Congleton is your nearest rolling road, he does a lot of race and rally car engine setups, but like Si says you will need a programmable ecu, mappable chip or similar so he can program the different parameters of the engine. Rolling road dyno runs are about £30 though if thats what you want.
  11. Followed you about 5 cars back, up kidsgrove bank, through Goldenhill and into Tunstall, i was in my lady's white Kia Sportage.
  12. I drove a Gallardo a couple of years ago at The Everyman Driving Centre at Prestwold Hall, i did'nt have any problems exploring the power, in fact we were encouraged to go fast and use full throttle, we were told that as long as you're sensible and use the braking markers trackside you'll be fine, and to be honest there is'nt much the instructor can do except hold on and give you a b******ing afterwards, because that handbrake wont stop 500bhp.
  13. You've got far too much time on your hands Andy. Lol.
  14. How many Z32's are there in the Stoke-on-Trent area, so far i know of me, dr chriz, PaulR and dannyfiveforty....... Anyone else ?
  15. A up duck, PDS, Potteries Diesel Specialists deal in alarm and security systems for motors, they've got a good reputation so might be worth a try, otherwise any local auto electrician should be able to sort out a parking sensor.
  16. Saw a silver one on my way home from work, beeped and waved, i was in a pearl white one, Newcastle street, Middleport, Stoke-on trent.
  17. My mate bought a paddle clutch from them about 3 months ago for his evo 6, it's got about 350bhp and he does trackdays, no problems yet.
  18. Almost makes you want to become a Turkish smoking junkie alcoholic :headvswal
  19. Ay up mate, everyone's fine thanks, hope you, the missus and the pupp are ok, just bought an invader front bumper for mine, side skirts, big wing and rear apron are next for a winter project. ;) What's the next show you are attending, might go to Trax but not in the Zed. Ta Ta.
  20. That's me mate, see you around. :hyper:
  21. Hi mate, where in S-o-T are you, i'm in Tunstall and drive a pearl white twin turbo, can't say i've seen many 300's round here. :duffer:
  22. There's a place just a few miles up the road from me, where like minded vauxhall owners can meet up..................it's called cheddleton mental Hospital.
  23. Keep the Zed and modify it mate, if you get a 350 you'll miss the turbo's, this will mean you will have to modify the 350 which will cost even more money.
  24. When i did my 60k service i made the mistake of not replacing the waterpump , partly to save a few pennies and partly because there did'nt seem anything wrong with it, (no leaks, smooth action, no bearing play, ect) everything was fine until a couple of days after i finished the service and it started leaking, i guess it's the fact that it was disturbed and possibly spun by hand the opposite way to which it normally runs when i checked it. Either way your symptoms sound the same as mine, so i would'nt rule out the pump.
  25. Don't know what you've got to spend, but I bought my zed for supercar looks and speed, and there are'nt many more cars i'd consider for under my 15k budget. Lotus Esprit SE Turbo Toyota Supra Twin Turbo Honda NSX Nissan Skyline R33 Kia Picanto (only kidding)
