Hi, I have had my Z off the end of the speedo, thats 180+. (The M45 is a great road/test track.) In theory it should be able to do 207 with the standard manual gearbox but you will obviously need to do a few (well loads of) mods to achieve this. However the speedo is not that accurate at the top end, when my first Z was totally standard (with limiters etc) it was reading 165 but the car is apparently limited to 155 (in standard UK TT manual form) There is loads you can do to a Z, just make sure you check the oil regularly of you will have to do it twice!!
  3. Nice one, thanks very much
  4. Nice one, thanks very much
  5. I have just had my (water) rad recored as I needed to be on the road in days and could not wait for a Koyo, and all was fine and dandy tooling around town for a few days. . . However on a journey of around 20 mile sit all went horribly wrong and the car overheated and cut out. I checked under the bonnet and the front of it was wet and I noticed the rad cap was different. on it says 0.9 which I have been assured by the garage and rad company is usual but I think I recall the original one saying 1.2 can anyone confirm this to me and if possible to add a pic of a genuine one so I can show them what has been lost - Cheers
  6. Standard UK Z is 3.5 litres, and check it regularly, it will burn off any excess and leave it on the back of the car! I am on my second Z and 4 engine and they have all used up about 1/2 litre per 500 miles. I did not believe it but have checked this by changing the oil after 500 and 1000 miles before as engine rebuilds are bl@@dy expensive (and keep the car off the road) I know there are cars out there that are as good as gold and never use any oil but I have never had one. What I have done is fitted the oil cooler kit from Stillen which means you can put in 4.5 litres (but it still uses 1/2 litre per 500 miles!)
  7. As for excuses to upgrade, it all started with a slipping clutch. . . . .
  8. Cheers -- Will do, where in Herts are you? I am in Stevenage
  9. Thanks for that, they have been recommended elsewhere to me, where can I get one from?
  10. After a while of nothing going wrong on my 300 the radiator has sprung a leak. Can anyone recommend an upgrade as the car always run on the hot side anyway.
  11. Thanks for that, just an answer machine at the moment, I'll try again later - Cheers
  12. Does anyone know whats going on with SE Nissan / Nisstek (AKA Silvia Engineering)? Peter and his team have done loads of work on my 300 and I was trying to call them on 01621 85 88 56 for some more but the number is not in use. There is nothing on Yell or in the BT book, any news?
  13. Not guilty, even though I live in Stevenage, my Z was in Brighton at the time
