Recommendation for a tune
I'll have to give them a ring then, I'm looking for someplace that is going to put the car on a dyno, and write the program specifically for my Z. I already have an EPROM "pre-written" for my mods, but the car is running far far too rich, and I am out of ideas on what it could be. It needs someone with more experience than myself to sort it out and either re-write the EPROM or identify what the issue is.

Recommendation for a tune
Greetings all, first off I know that everyone has "their shop" and their preferences, so on and so forth. But is there any one shop in the UK that has the top reputation, no history of shenanigens, and a solid record of integrity, that most everyone can agree on? I'm considering getting my Z tuned properly, but want to make sure it goes someplace that will actually do it properly and has a solid track record with Z32's. I'm not sure if there is any significant difference in petrol between the UK and Germany, so it might even be a moot point. Anyway, this will require a ferry trip and certainly at least one night, possibly two, as well as using up leave time from work. So I want to do this once, and get it right, can you guys refer me to the right place?

cool, thanks

after seeing the amount of oil in my plenum recently, I have been giving this some serious thought but couldnt find anything that would be an easy fit. I am thinking the can would have to be that small to make easy installation possible. Where do you plan to mount it and how?

Spa Francorchamps--Sept 27....Anyone interested in joining me?
195 Euros for the day, 4 sessions, a 5th possible I live about 60 miles away, got a spare bedroom and room for a couple extra cars. It would be sweet to get 2 or 3 or even more Z32's out there. I got all the tools necessary to swap pads etc etc, and I should have some brake fluid and equipment for brake bleeding this week. Only thing I don't have is a quality camera. I'm definitely going, already took the day off. It's a monday. Let me know.

OMFG My luck sucks
Yeah, I've never dealt with getting a motor from Kyle, but he isnt one of the best, he is the best. Something like a blocked passage isnt something he would overlook. Another thing is that I have noticed that these motors require being tilted forward-end up while burping air from coolant system. If you had a bone dry motor, and the shop did not know this and just tried to run coolant thru the system with the motor level and without some method of forcing air out, then it is entirely possible that hot spots could have developed. I have caught it myself on my own car when I flushed the coolant and thought it was air free but watched the temps rise well above 200F just while idling. I read up on it on twinturbo.net and found out about the need to jack up the front end. When I did this, a lot of air bubbled out of the system. And my collant temps were steady 178F afterwards with no other changes. Maybe this is common knowledge on cars in general, or maybe it is just one of the little nuances of the Z32, either way, if a shop didn't service the coolant system correctly and then goofed with the E. Fan to make matters worse, you'd definitely be looking at a head gasket blown. Good luck, but I doubt your shop would own up to it, if they are even aware that they did cause the overheat. I'm sure Kyle will do a lot to help resolve and get to the bottom of this

I dont see any activity on the Nurburgring thread in events. Anybody up for it? I'm going back to SPA on Sept 27th. Open invite to who ever wants to come, I have an extra bedroom, and the drive is approx one hour due to stupid belgian low speed limits. Sunday, the NATO base here in Germany is letting the local enthusiast's club play out on the runway. I'm pretty psyched for it, will be my first experience with the local club which is a mix of anyone with a sportscar. I'm up for a 'ring trip whenever, just need a week's notice or so to make sure I am not going to be flying or out of town. I know a few of you brits are located in Deutschland like myself. Enjoy the pics Sorry for such poor quality, dunno when I will ever upgrade with all the money I plan to spend attending driving events. Rest of the pics HERE- 300zx.co.uk Nurbergring Trip 2010
sorry, make that the 21st July 21st is when I plan on going, even if I dont have the new tires on the car, I still plan on going and taking it easy around the track just to get a feel for the place, and then come back in a month or two to push it a little harder.- 300zx.co.uk Nurbergring Trip 2010
Pick a date so I can take my leave and be sure to be in-town for it, or you guys can meet up with me and we can go to SPA-Francorchamps on the 24th. Much closer, might even be lighter on the wallett.- 300zx.co.uk Nurbergring Trip 2010
Is anyone going to make this trip? As it stands now, I may pass on it in order to go to SPA on the 24th. Less opportunites to drive SPA, Nur is open to public quite often.- TwinZ (peru) Rear bumper with diffuser
With the exchange rate, wouldnt the price be close to that for you guys? - You guys missed out!
