The MR2 tubby is a bit quicker to 80ish and would outhandle a zed in the twisties but on a long straight road the zed would dissapear.Also MR2s are very reliable and the standard internals are good for 400 bhp. All the ones you have blown away are probably NAs

How about a Rev 3 MR2 Tubby,can get some serious BHP out of them.

Im thinking the top half of the car in the pearl graphite including boot and spoiler,engine lid then rest of the car the standard red with maybe a gold flip or pearl

Well getting things done at last.Fitted a raised vented bonnet but no vents sprayed nissan pearl graphite, also fitted a carbon air scoop.just waiting for a Bomex front splitter and side skirts and a larger vented engine lid to turn up. Also got a Autopista boot spoiler to go on and then a respray. :dance: :dance:

Thats the one, also check the upper link arms etc cause after my mate put them on i went and had a 4 wheel allignment done so possibly they didnt tighten everything up properly. all the SPL stuff has done less than 2k as well. Hope you sort it. Ive got a MR2 turbo now, a bit cheaper to run and mod but do miss the shortie a bit.

Just tightened the top nut on the shock ie the one under the bonnet and the one under the cover by the speaker at the back.I only did the drivers side. Those shocks have got less than 2000 miles on so they cant be buggered

just read your other post about the suspension. The shocks on the other side started to make noises about a month after they were put on and they just needed the top nut nipping up as my mate said they were just bedding in sort of. half hour later no more noises

Hi bud,glad your happy with here and you save her from that madman who wanted to rip her apart. The shocks KYB AGX i bought off Ryan at Z Tech paid cash i think they were surplus to requirements. The Upper link arms Tension rods and ARB link ends are SPL and were bought off Smithy,didnt Manta have receipt for those.HTH bubbles

If i had 10 grand to spend on a zed Sarges Zelda would defo be sitting on my drive.Might not be purple bud but its got to be one of the nicest zeds about.
