Lighting Issue - Total Lighting Fail
Yep, that was it. The reason I said no fuses where gone, was I did a check and none looked blown. That fuse however was blown, but it blew right on the side, so from a quick observation looked in good nick. Thank you very much for your help, it saved me stripping the car down looking for a problem that wasn't there. Well it did blow for a reason, but that is for another day. Cheers.

Lighting Issue - Total Lighting Fail
Hello everyone, None of my lights are currently working, appart from my main beams, they come on when I go to switch my dipped beam on and will not switch off, unless I switch to side lights or off altogether. The indicators, interior and brakes work fine, just my side lights, dipped and dash lights do not work. I have done some modifications of late stripping the car of interior appart from dash. I believe that I might have disconnected something on the lighting circuit and left it and it is shorting on the body causing the lighting circuit to stay off. No fuses are blown, checked that already. I think the reason the mains come on instead of dip beam is a fail safe if your lighting circuit fails to get you home, lighting limp mode if you will. I have checked around where I've been tinkering and I cant see any obvious shorts, but maybe someone else has done something in the past and had a simplar fault? The only things I believe i've touched on this circuit are: Light in ashtray, cigurette illumination, clock illumination, glove box illumination. I cant for the life of me think of anything else on this circuit in the car. All I've done is changed the seats / carpet / removed trim / seat belts / removed stereo, glovebox. I'm genuinely stuck, so any help would be most appreciated. Everything else works on the car perfectly, runs like a Nissan dream.

SWJCC Multi-Meet this saturday 4th @ Poole, Dorset
Yeah it was a great meet, good variety, my favorite saw the Skyline Ute, that was awesome. I met the other SWB owner, nice guy, very good condition Z, but forgot to ask if he was on the forum. Didn't meet any other Z owners there though, must have missed you. Glad I left at 9 then, if it got a bit silly after dark.

Heater Blower - Stopped Working.
Yes I checked the fuse first, it's fine. The lights on the switches light up just fine, so I don't think it is the control module either.

Heater Blower - Stopped Working.
Ok, quite a simple one . . . so I thought. My heater blower suddenly stopped working one day. It's not the motor unit itself, that works, as i've put in a temporary switch so i can still de-fog my windscreen. I've had a good look in the manual and it suggests, from process of elimination, that it's the relay. Is that a common problem or is it more likely something else? Any ideas?

Ok, thanks.

Rear Bumper
I know a lot of the stuff from the lwb and swb are compatible, but does anyone know if the rear bumpers are?

ECU code 21 ??
I've just got my car to start. Once I got another PTU, it didn't start, so I used electrical contact cleaner on as many units and harnesses as I could easily get to. Gave them all a very good clean and it started on the first crank. So for you it may be as simple as giving all the relevant connections a ruddy good clean, because corrosion on the terminals can stop these cars dead in their tracks.

The next issue . . . Not starting . . . again
Just to sum this up for everyone, because lots of Error 21 codes are not resolved on previous forum posts: I received my 2nd replacement PTU, fitted it and it didn't start. I then disconnected the battery overnight to reset the ECU. Then I got some contact cleaner in the morning and scrubbed the PTU/Harness, CAS/Harness, TPS/Harness and it started on the first crank. I haven't as yet checked my error codes.

ECU code 21 ??
Well if your truly stumped then there's always zedworld. If I can't fix mine soon, it'll be going there

ECU code 21 ??
I have a code 21 at the moment. From what I understand, Spark issues can be down to: PTU, coilpack, CAS, ECU. Fuel issues are down to: Fuel pump (pressure), CAS, ECU. So if you have both, then I guess it's either CAS or ECU, or both.

ECU code 21 ??
Are you getting any spark?

The next issue . . . Not starting . . . again
I did a ECU diag and I got error 21 (ignition signal circuit). Apparently if the Earths are not done up or are poorly connected it can fry a PTU and this error is thrown up. My replacement PTU I tried before discovering the earth problem so maybe I fried a 2nd PTU?

The next issue . . . Not starting . . . again
The grounding point is F11, this earth 3 devices: 1) Air Regulator (F7) 2) ECCS (F1) 3) Air flow meter (F29) Ive checked all the fuses and nothing is blown. I believe that the MAF and the AR wouldn't effect the ignition so have I taken out my ECCS. If so would that stop fueling as well? Because I have air and fuel just no spark. Also swapped the PTU over with no luck. Is there a way of testing components with a multimeter to see functionality, like how would I test to see if my CAS is working correctly?
