No not at all,I bought mine because of the blistering performance it gave even in (STOCK FORM) rolling at 60mph +. No other car I have driven has given me that feeling inc................. My Mums 928 V8 Porker My Mums V12 XJS A friends V8 5litre+ Vet.and my very own 3 door Sierra cosworth many moons ago I know John knows his stuff and I am sure he has thought about this project in great detail however I would still say at this point a Stock Z32TT will destroy a N/A v8 rolling at 50mph.

Yes you are right the Z handles ok for a 2 wheel drive car, I have spend 55k on mine so I maybe could have gone to Ferrari land and bought a second hand one but I have enjoyed doing what I have done to my Z and modded it because I want MASSIVE mid range power and top speed runs. I would never mod it to be a out and out track car though as IMHO it will never make a track car to compete with 4x4s If I wanted to to that I would buy an Evo but hey at the end of the day we all do things in different ways;)

The only thing is the 300zx is NOT a track car and it never will be no matter what you do a Scooby or better still an Evo will make it look silly round the twistys.

I had the fast road box conversion done on my Z s few years ago; it was a FANTASTIC mod to have done the car was truly rapid with it fitted. When I decided to go ahead with my Z project, the auto box I had fitted would have taken the power but then would have worn out very quickly so I decided to go manual, what a big mistake that was! I probably have one of the best clutches money can buy at over 1.6k(clutch is fine) I then bought a brand new manual box(nothing wrong with the box) But put them together in a Z and the whole car is now ruined IMHO! Now before you spout shite I drive and have driven a manual car EVERY DAY so don’t even go there about manuals are for men PMSL :rofl:
