  1. Rich, the Gear Stick Gaiter is only a year or so old. Think i bought it from a place on ebay(?). Cheers, Mark
  2. **EDITED** Please re-sub BEFORE you attempt selling. Thank You :)
  3. Thanks Jeff. Do you have to peel the dust protector back to get to the retaining clip as on the dipped beam? Cheers, Mark
  4. Hi all, I'm probably being a bit thick, but when i went to change my main beam bulbs i couldn't get the connector off. Should you just be able to pull it straight off and then be able to remove the bulb or is it a bit more involved than that? I didn't want to just wrench it off and find that i've damaged things. Has anyone got the link to the correct page in the online manual? Cheers, Mark
  5. Thanks for the advice guys. With my missus taking a years maternity i just won't have the cash to sort all of the bits and pieces out. The pic in my sig was taken a few years ago now before scumbags decided to damage it. I know its been said before but whenever anyone asks how much these cares are worth they are always surprised. Where else could you get a car that will do 170-180mph for such little money! Cheers, Mark
  6. No worries neil, I know i'd get more money if i broke it for the parts, but with a nipper on the way i won't have the time. I don't want to mislead anyone so i've tried to be honest about the condition. Cheers, Mark
  7. Hi all, my wife and i are expecting a baby in the next few months and as much as my heart tells me to keep the Zed my head tells me otherwise. So i've made the desicion to sell it, but i'm not sure how much to put it up for? I know prices are fairly depressed at the momment and the usual answer to the post title is ' what someone will pay for it'. I thought £1500, what do you think? Spec. 1991 (H) J-Spec TT 90,000miles Metallic Burgundy (Cherry Red?) Laquer is lifting on the passenger front wing. Someone smashed the plastic on the drivers wing mirror. The paint is lifting on the rear spoiler. The turbo's are starting to smoke I do have a fibreglass spoiler to go on, but have never got round to fitting it. I also have a replacement wing mirror but this is in silver. Thanks for your input, Mark
  8. Thanks Si. I've had a look at the wheels and I just can't tell! The Impul website used to have their old project cars on there and they had a Z32. I just can't find any info. now. Cheers, Mark
  9. Hi there, i have a set of Impul RS split rims on my Zed and i can't tell if they are 2-piece or 3-piece rims. I've tried Googling them but can't find any info. on them. I need to know as my local wheel refurbishers (BJV Engineering) can do 2-piece but not 3-piece. Does anybody have any info on them? Cheers, Mark
  10. Hi Vijay, I cleaned all of the connectors i could get to the last time the car played up (a few weeks ago). I've been using Datascan to log what is going on but everything appears to be working normally (???). Each time i have unplugged the MAF I've had to reset the ECU, so i know that is okay. Are you aware of any Zed speciallists near London? Just drove the car again, all okay. Then pull in to my drive and its starts to stall again? Really confused. Cheers, Mark
  11. Cheers guys. Vijay - I've checked all of the coil pack connectors and they are okay. TT Dan - The spark plugs are a year or so old but they were fine when i checked them a couple of weeks ago (when i first started having problems). Would this explain the running okay then rubbish after boost? Radron - I replaced the clutch booster a couple of years ago when the clutch went all heavy on me. The clutch seems ok at the momment though. How could you tell if it was the one way valve, where abouts is it? Typically the car ran like a bag of sh1t on the way home last night (in the storms). It wouldn't rev, kept missing and stalling. The only way i could get it home was to unplug the MAF. I replaced the MAF with a second hand one from SWZ a couple of weeks ago when the car didn't want to idle but would rev and run okay. Its run okay up till now. When i put the old MAF back on it revs and doesn't miss but it still wont idle. I've checked the wiring back to the ECU and that is all okay.I've also made up a boost leak checker but can't hear any leaks. I'm at a bit of a loss now.....
  12. Cheers Vijay, i'll have look tonight
  13. Hi all, i've had a look through old threads but none of them mention my problem exactly. Its happened twice now. On my way to work, start up car runs fine no issues, driving okay with small bursts of on boost fun. Then i give it the berries and it starts misfireing, coughing and splutering and doesnt respond to the throttle. This went on for a couple of miles and then cleared itself. On my way home i connect up the Datascan software, do the same and car runs perfect (WTF!!??). There are no error codes (only 55) I've recently changed the MAF due to idling problems, done a boost leak check, cleaned all of the connectors, etc, etc. If the Det sensor gets triggered will the car run like a bag of poo afterwards or will it settle back to normal but just not go over 7psi boost? Could it be the cooler morning air causing problems? The car is a j-spec TT with decats, filter, zorst, chip and boost jets running at 14psi. please help Mark
  14. Hi peeps, was using my Datascan software the other day to try and sort my poor idling out and i noticed that it doesn't read the Duty Cycle of the Injectors. Has anybody else had this or can suggest a fix? Cheers, Mark
  15. Hi there, i've knocked up a boost leak detector out of an old coke bottle and tyre valve, but i can't seem to get enough pressure using an electric tyre inflator. What have other people used when pumping air into the engine? Foot pump, hand pump etc? Also, if i half cover the mouth of the MAF with my hand when running the idle smooths out, any ideas?? Cheers, Mark
