AFR = Air/Fuel ratio EGT = exhaust gas temperature

The usual favourites are oil pressure, water temp and boost, because the stock ones are crap. If you are running a tuned up engine it would be wise to have an AFR gauge and/or EGT.

they are all like that, you can use euPod to derestrict the volume if you like it a tad louder though

I just took the whole damn thing out and it hasnt made any difference to the operation of the climate control. I'd imagine a 40mm fan might do the job, would be much louder than even a knackered stock job though, i guess thats why you might want a resistor, no idea what resistance you would want though.
