I have recently had my autobox replaced with a tested 2nd hand one and cant seem to get reverse to work with the new gearbox. Does anyone have any ideas as to what would cause it not to work in my car even though it worked fine in the donor car? All the forward gears work just no reverse. Is it possible the mechanic just missed an electronic hook up or needs to reset the the cars computer?

Ok guys my autobox has starting acting a lil strange lately so Im going to give it a service tomorrow. I have looked around a little bit but still havent found the answers that im looking for. I have read that Dexron ATF is the correct fluid to use and that I should check the fluid level while the engine is running and the tranny is in park after I cycle the tranny through the gears. I.E. 1,2,D,N,R,P. Is this correct? Does anyone have any tips? Thanks in advance for your help.

I havent used one on my zed but I do have one on my truck and it seems to do well.

I will give that a try tomorrow when its daylight. Just as an update to my previous post when starting for the first time of the day the gauge reads about 6kg/cm3. When it first reaches warm (needle on temp gauge a little less than halfway) it drops to about 3-4kg/cm3. When driving distances, over 10 miles for example, the gauge will read about 1kg/cm3. Note these are not sudden drops but then again im not looking constantly at the guage while driving.

thanks, i use 10w40 semi synthetic but i just bought the car and the stock needle was showing around 4 at first and now ist near zero. I checked the oil and it was full but I just wanted to make sure the oil pump was pumping as I dont want fried turbos or pistons on the engine that was just put in by zedworld.

I had a look at the website but was quoted different prices when I called. Mainly I am interested in the quality of work that the do as im looking at either and enging swap or a turbo swap. Naturally I dont want any shoddy work so I thought I would ask the club. Im thinking the turbos are gone as there is oil in the boost pipes.

Hey everyone I just got a good deal on a zed which needs some work and am thinking about taking it to zedworld. Has anyone had them do an engine or turbo swap? If so what were your prices and how do you feel about the quality of the work? Also do we get a club discount? Thanks.

Here is a pic of the bumper that they would be sitting behind. It begs for a FMIC but I dont know if I can afford that with the engine swap. Who makes a good FMIC? I can think of greddy, hks and autobahn88. Are there any others that are good but not overpriced?

Im picking the car up on friday as I have just returned from the police station with the release form. Then she will be sitting around till I can get her in for an engine swap. I did manage to find out what the towing cost is gonna be. WHL charges 150 for pickup and transport back to their yard and 20 a day for storage.
