  1. I was trying to follow the buyers guide, specifically that on idle the boost gauge should be far over to the left. Are you saying that thats not really an important factor? I don't know because as I said I;ve no experience of turbo'd cars.
  2. Yeah i thought it might not be connected, but it was moving when revving the car at idle, went up whilst revving and down on underrun. I think I will keep on looking!
  3. Hi everyone, Am new to to 300zxs, and new to turbo engines, having always had NA cars before. Am in the market to buy one however. Went to view a car tonight, and the boost was sat on 0 at idle, not on -14 (well the gauge read -7 to +7) as the buyers guide says it should. It also seemed to be missing slightly, and running a bit rich (smell of petrol from exhaust fumes). I take I should walk away from this and look elsewhere?
