  1. I crawled under the front with the aid of a jack and some serious breathing in and the dump valve pipes seem nice and tight, i have bought a set of PCV's to hopefully try and cure the occassional smoke on idle issue, but im now thinking it might be a tub on its way out and thats why i lost boost last night? Still no smoke under load or nasty noises though, think i may need professional help!!
  2. ok so i stuck my head under the bonnet at first light and couldnt see any loose/disconnected pipes or wires, so i left it to idle until it was warm and had a listen for any nasty noises or hissing sounds and nothing, took it for a pootle out of town and hit the loud pedal on the dual carriageway, FAST AS EVER, WHAT THE F*!K??!! Anyway thanks for all your input but a good rest seems to have cured it.............for now!
  3. thanks very much for the info mate i'll have a look first thing, here's hoping its something simple(cheap)!!
  4. no ive only just got home so not looked yet, what would i be looking for?
  5. ive only had it 2 weeks but it smokes on idle maybe 1 out of every 20 times, but never under load or on start up. the boost gauge gets to about 1 line below maximum now, but its so sloooooooooooooow
  6. PLEASE HELP!! Driving home from work tonight stopped at lights when a 206 GIT rolls up and invites me to play on the dual carriageway, i happily obliged. What then happened will stay with me forever! the car came on boost in first then just died in second, no power whatsoever. 206 disappears over the horizon....... Anyway pride aside, the boost gauge now wont hit maximum and its probably moving around the same pace as my work lorry! any ideas? any help would be MUCH appreciated.........
  7. pics are up mate, just done it now. you planning on going to the next ashby meet? also i see there's a jae going on at wicksteed park in September, do you know if many Z's are going?
  8. Also don't know if it makes any difference but its had a manual conv., flashed eprom and boost turned up to 14psi all done at zedworld
  9. Hi people, don't know if anyone may be able to help on this one but i'm having some strange problems with a JDM TT i bought last week. The tacho "jumps" sometimes say from 2,000 to 3,000rpm, but what's more worrying is i hit the limit yesterday while tacho showed 3000rpm?! it does also tickover high sometimes, especially when you use the heater? Anyways any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks........
