Electric seats & electric windows not working
Hi all, I've got a strange issue with my zed. Both windows and powered seats have stopped working. I've checked the fuse under bonnet by the brake cylinder and its fine and there's power there too. The power doesn't seem to be getting from there to inside the car. Slim chance I know, but has anyone seen this before? Does anyone kno what's next in the chain between the fuse and seats and windows? cheers all.

running on 5?
Hi mate, i had the same thing with mine. I used to pull up at the lights and it would stall. It turned out to be lime scale on all of the injector connectors. Gave them a clean and i've never had the problem since.

car wont start
Hmmmmm, everytime i've seen this its been the connectors on the ptu, get one of your mates to try and start the car while you wiggle both of the ptu connectors.

No Boost
So just to confirm, is the temp sensor doens't work, the ecu prevents the turbos from boosting completely? or just reduced boost?
-
any body know this z???
I would stay clear "NSR Quater panel has a webbing effect e.g. would need repainting usually it would cost upto £100 which can be done by me as i am an accident repair specialist........" So wouldn't you have sorted that out before you put it for sale then???? full of sh*t if you ask me.

Crank was 2 teeth out washer jets plugged into the breather system coils & injectors all mixed up no knock sensor EGR's & VVT solenoids & sensors all plugged up wrong. dipstick tube wrapped around the turbo to a Z shape Most of the breather system missing and connected up wrong. And the list goes on.............. what a numpty

Turbo's not boosting
Hi all, Today i managed to get one of my 300zx turbos running. I bought it from a guy who rebuilt the engine but never got it to run (4 years ago). I found loads wrong with it. However, its running now but the turbos are not boosting at all. I have checked them and they're not seized so it has to be something else. Whats the score with the little egr valves on the sides os the turbos? Is there any way of testing them? Has anyone else come across this problem? :headvswal

Clutch Master Cylinder Required
Hi all, has anyone changed their clutch master cylinder? The clutch line connects to the bottom of my cylinder but every cylinder i've looked at on the net has the clutch line connect on the side. Has anyone else had this problem?:headvswal

Gearbox grates going into 5th
yep, 4th to 5th synco has worn out. I have a volvo that does the exact same thing. Low revs it's fine, higher revs it crunches.

Steam from engine bay
yeah i agree, probably just burning something off after the service. I wouldn't worry about it.

More Engine Trouble....
I agree. Take all the plugs out and spin the engine over. I bet you get a load of water fly out of that cylinder. Also, chack the plugs to see if they're wet I still think it could be head gaskets. They are fairly common on these. I own 3 300zx's and 2 of them had blown head gaskets. Easiest way to do them is to take the engine out. It took me 3 1/2 hours to take mine out. It's sooooooooooo much easier to work on when its out. Also, a handy tip is to drop the front subframe out by releasing the 4 bolts that hold it. This will allow you to get access to the top of the bell housing and pipes really easily.

Intermittent wipers not working
Fixed it! It turned out the be the wiper relay module situated in the back of the engine bay beneath the wiper motor harness

Intermittent wipers not working
Hi all, I've got a problem with my wipers. When i put the wipers to intermittent, they wipe once and thats it. Switch them off and they wipe again as they should but the intermittent wipe doesn't work. Any ideas?

Both electric windows
I have the same problem. The electric seat isn't working either which i know runs from the same fuse (fuse is fine). I have 12v at the fuse but nothing coming into the car. Did anyone find a fix for it?

Air conditioning not working
Yep, you guys are right. There's no gas left in it. Thanks chaps

Air conditioning not working
Oh really? Ok i suppose i can test that by sending 12v to the compressor when the engines running and see if i get any cold air. I'll give that a go and let you all know. If there's a pressure sensor, do you know where it is? thanks for your help so far people
