I'm still on for this but can't make the Saturday now as my wife's aunt (who she is very close to) is seriously ill and we have to go to London on Saturday. So I will be coming over on Sunday for as much of the day as I can make, Athene I have your mobile number so I'll contact you Sunday a.m. (not too early, though if you're camping you'll be awake at first light anyway :D) if that's OK, find out where you're at and go from there. Hope i don't miss TOO much fun.............!!

Big thanks to Athene for sure  An excellent REO who deserves a bit of enthusiasm and support from us lazya*se's who leave it to everyone else :D Managed to get some good pics of the Zed on the way out too - have posted a couple (I hope!). What did your's come out like Chris? Er...............OK forget the photo's for now, file size is too large :headvswal Will try aagain later when I'm not supposed to be working ;)

Oh dear  Had a bit of a "domestic debate" about Sunday but the bottom line is I'm not going to be able to make it :( Have a hundred and one things on at the moment, all have to be done yesterday, if not the day before, so I'm apparently not allowed any time off, even on a Sunday  Ahhhhhhhhh! Wedded bliss. So I'm really sorry folks, I won't be able to meet up on Sunday, but I'm still looking forward to the Rolling Road session in August :hyper: . Guess I'd better start earning some brownie points now...........
  8. Avon tyres are utter sh*te! For a well known make they are a joke. I had a TVR that I was selling and fitted a pair on the rear as they were cheap(ish). I nearly crashed the first time I took it out for a spin, and had real trouble selling it as the first 3 people who drove it were convinced there was something drastically wrong with the suspension. I'll never buy Avons again.

Hey :) Thanks for the reply, sounds like a good day. Sorry to be a bit slow replying but my feet haven't touched the ground for the last 3 days, stupidly busy at work, fixing the brakes on my better half's Mondeo (well someone's got to have the shopping car, and it sure as hell wasn't going to be me!!), friends staying with us from Spain, new speakers in the Z, my son's 8th birthday today........I'm out of breath just writing this :D . Will be great to meet up with the "locals". Only problem is I know that weekend is going to be a busy one, so will have to get my a*se in gear to make sure I am allowed a pass out.................. :slap:
  10. Er.......there was a nice sticker on the slam panel with R134a on it, so I just kind of assumed that was what was in it......................
  11. Finally found time to look this up :slap: It's A1 Air-Con. The guy's name is Mick Horgan and he charged me £60 to recharge my 1994 import, which already had R134a in it. He's mobile but seemed thorough and to know what he was doing. My air con works perfect now. Shame the weather is so sh*te. I think I talked to him about the R12 conversion in passing and he said he could do it, but I can't be sure! His number is 01425 610111 0r 07836 227766. Hope this helps! Matt
  12. :headvswal :headvswal B*gger! :headvswal :headvswal Forgot to look - promise to look tonight. Had my head full of brakes the last couple of days - pads discs and 1 caliper are shot on the family Mondeo. Doing it myself and saving £250 BUT I've also had my mate and his Mrs over from Spain, so been a bit busy! I'll let you know later. Cheers, Matt
  13. Hey Ian, Had mine done a couple of months ago by a mobile guy who did an excellent job. Can't remember his details but I have them at home. I'll let you have them later.

Be good to meet some fellow southern Z'ers, thanks for organising this!
  16. Hey Stacy, glad you said that - maybe I will have it back now :D
  17. AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Do you know who's bowtie that was mate? Mine!! I really hope that he had it round his neck - I wondered why he asked me if it was elasticated  . Maybe we don't want to see the pictures now.......... Dave, I'm not too worried if you can't post it back to me  Excellent day, good to meet all there and sorry I had to clear off early but I had a family committment. Thanks to Jeff for sorting out my idling problem. including a replacement TPS at no charge. Running absolutely perfect now!
  18. Yeah, OllieZX is a top, top bloke  and this is a great mod! I was working on the interior of car this evening and just had to turn the lights on while I was doing it, they look so good :D I drove around at night loads when I first put the pods in just to see them :D Still trying to work out how I can get the passenger electric window switch illuminated - I'm gonna do it one day :wack:
  19. I'd be in for that for sure. Went in 2003 and it was an awesome weekend. You gotta camp inside the circuit and stay all weekend to get the full experience :D
  20. Fair enough mate, but it's given me a few ideas anyway :D :D I have a black one which doesn't need tying, so I'll bring it along. I'll be there early as I have a long drive home so I'll see you first thing eh?
  21. Dave, I've got a couple if you need me to bring them. Hadn't really though about what Stacey might wear (not going to make the obvious comment there!) but maybe there are a few things that would look good......hmmmm........ See you next week :D
  22. Hey Mate My thoughts are....... 1. Suggest to those that have dropped out they might like to reconsider :xxx: 2. If they don't, make 'em pay anyway :slap: 3. AND make them personally apologise to you and eat a little humble pie on the forum for everyone to see  4. Post a nice pic of TastyWelshie on the forum to "encourage" a few late entries :D Hard to know what to do when you have tried to put on a fun event for other folks benefit and they can't even be arsed to stick to what they said they'd do. Whatever happens I WILL be getting some pics of Stacey with my zed at some point this year ;)
  23. :) Depends where you are in the country of course, but Micheldever Tyres (Micheldever Station, Winchester, Hampshire SO21 3AP Tel: 01962 774437 Fax: 01962 774572 http://www.micheldever.co.uk) are the best I've ever come across in 20 odd years of buying tyres. Not only are they cheap (by the time you add VAT valves balance fitting etc if you buy online from mytyres or similar check the price again!) but they have a state of the art wheel alignment set up and they actually know what they are doing. And I don't think I have ever found they didn't have tyres in stock, its a big place. Jeez - I sound like a bloody advert for the place  but they really are good! Never known anyone say a bad word about them..........unless someone knows better of course........
  24. I'd say no to a p**sche :D But you're right, the appeal is in making it your car, rather than just another Nissan!
