D2 Brakes
Yeah..I know that this subject was covered a lot of times around here! I'm in the market for a big brake upgrade; I'm looking for the D2 racing brakes mostly because they're cheap! Anyone here using them?! I've searched as far as I can, but still I got no review from them...anyone have thoughts on this that they want to share?!

secondary fan
Make an ecu diagnostic...probably the ecu water temperature sensor is malfunction or disconnected.

440 injectors
I have a set of 6 subaru 440cc injectors; I've bought them in ebay to some jap guy...great seller. He sells them in packs of six if you want them...you just need to get the newer style injector connectors and slice the injector a little bit :smash: they work flawless, I just bough them because sometimes I do some high speed runs and stock injectors at 100% duty cycle scared me a little bit :mac1: Subaru part numbers: 16611AA101 16611AA100 and if you can get the 16611AA231 they are 480cc according with this web site [http://homepage1.nifty.com/BG5A59D/tips/injector.html] Seller in ebay is theglobesavinggroup...and they pretty cheap if you consider that they are cleaned and flow tested.

MAF and subaru compatibility
They are compatible as long as he uses an apexi power fc.

ECU tuning software
I use Conzult and a ostrich emulator from moates.net, conzult provides real time map trace (and allows you to datalog...more useful if you're doing road tuning) and you can use whatever program you like to edit your files...just download emulity from http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/ and it will upload any change to the file in real time if thats your will. But this is old school stuff...now you can have both in one package http://home.aanet.com.au/nistune/ I never tried it but i'm seriously thinking in getting one :)

rebuilding a crankshaft, worth it?
I've read that also...but what’s wrong with a stock crankshaft? Its way cheaper that the 1080 Eur?? Pound? You’ve quoted. Wow much would you pay for a rebuild?

Variable Vane Turbos
VTG Turbos, that’s a completely different league... http://www.autoblog.com/2005/11/27/next-911-turbo-to-feature-variable-turbine-geometry/

Variable Vane Turbos
VNT turbos only work with diesel engines, high exhaust temperatures kills the VNT mechanism :( I know some guys that tried them on petrol engines and it didn't last long. Plus the vane geometry is vacuum actuated and it needs to be altered to work with a regular wastegate actuator. Plus the lack a true wastegate so correct turbine matching its essential or you may have boost creep, sometimes the use of a external wastegate helps. Garrett makes another design it's called VAT (Variable Area turbine) they come as standard in a PUG 405, but I’m unaware of their reliability. VNT VAT...2 "Wastegate" actuators

my ecu chip
Mate my advice...if you already experienced detonation with this chip, don’t try to increase boost. You probably already have a socket, so maybe buying a reputable chip is the best option for you.

my ecu chip
Leaner Air fuel ratios and very advanced ignition maps, the timing map is really agressive...i wouldn't run it on my car!! But is kinda common to find such ignition maps with some JDM tuners. Rev limiter set at 7400RPM.

Flywheel bolts
Hi all, when changing the flywheel is necessary to replace the flywheel bolts with brand new items? Or can I re-use the old ones? Thanks!
