Just what i needed before JAE.
After several tests i managed to recreate the water out of rad cap. Basically if you run 15psi boost as she was that day then she looses water thru the rad cap. 13 psi ans below doesnt cause a problem. ive turned down the boost to 5psi for the moment to be on the safe side. i normally run 5 psi, but it was turned upto 15 when i raced a motorbike thursday night. forgot to turn it back down before lending car to wife who has no idea what a boost controller is. been driving car all week wit no problem untill last night when i upped the boost as part of the test, no overheating but water (about 1 liter) dripped ou of the ad cap after engine was switched off.

hmm that would be the 4th RAD in a year, all 2nd hand ones. think its time for either a brand new OE one or an uprated one.

TBH even some of the modded turbos only get 13 sec qtr mile so an NA will struggle to get near the 9's. there are a few on here wit NA that drag em, i think there is a thread dedicated to the tuning of NA's. Im sure on of the NA regulars will be on to point u in the right direction soon. ohh and welcome to the club

Just what i needed before JAE.
Wife just got back from work in my Z. When she pulled up i went out to assist her parking as she was all over the shop. Anyway, noticed water dripping from under the car. had a look and it was too far forward to be the overflow, so popped bonnet and water was seeping out of the rad cap. I could hear bubbling from the plenum area too :(. Turned on ignition and the temp guage when right up just before the redline. Wife says thet car felt fine and she never noticed the temp guage rise untill she was parking it, which means it was probally boiling over for some time. She was stuck in trafic in the down center for some time in the heat with the air-con on and then when she got to the dual carridgeway she gave it some caning. Im hoping i not ****ed, with JAE round te corner. Any idea's?
